Question about JVC AV-48WP30 48" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

Warped image We were given a AV-48WP34 unit. The owners said they replaced two IPs a couple of weeks ago. Well, when I plugged it in and got a video source to it, the comments about convergence issues were a little off base. The image is distored. The edges and the sides are fine, but the center is crushed down. It resembles a ribbon, kinda. I went threw the convergence adjustments and nothing changed. I doubt this is the issue. Any ideas?

You definitely have a convergence problem based on the photo you provided. It looks as though someone reset the memory back to an uncorrected state or botched the job replacing the chips. Customer controls will not help you. You need to have a qualified technician address this problem. Good

XBOX 360 - E74 WITH ONE RED LIGHT

Usually when the AV is disconnected all four lights flash red. Cheapest thing to do first is try another AV cord.

However, it's possible that your 360 has been refurbished and the hardware has the chip in a warped position.

If it isn't the AV cable:
You can order a kit for RROD on ebay for about $7.00. Same hardware as what you'd need.
What you have to do is replace the hardware (x clamp) on the video chip the same way it's done when an xbox gets the RROD. reheat the chip so that it connects again by letting it run for about 5-7 minutes with the fan disconnected, turn it off again, wait about 30 seconds and then turn it back on. I fix 360's with this error code at least 3 times a week.

In some cases after doing the clamp trick you will get RROD. No worries, just follow the proccess above and everything will run smoothly.
