checked the plug many times and it wasn't associated with the power...I've been told by many it was a tube fuse that needed replacing behind the top grill, but it costs more to fix then to buy a complete new microwave...this problem seemed like a waste of money

Had a tech come out...They said a "magnatron tube" was blown...I guess it's some kind of fuse. But locally it's cheaper just to replace the microwave completely than to replace the part. Just the part was $159 plus tax, not including installation and Labor. So... opt for the new at $197 with a warranty. And companies wonder why people constantly throw out appliances...I guess this is only one example. Hope this solution hlps someone

This is not usually a consumer repairable fault - but you may be able to clear it simply by unplugging from the outlet for a minute or two and plugging it back in again. Try it out and if it works, you're all set - otherwise it might need to be seen by a pro.

Good luck!

The switch button is not working..

Hi, kindly unplug the unit for five minutes. this will drain all power, and reset the main board. Once the five minutes have passed, simply plug the unit back into the power outlet. If the problem continues, the touch pad should be replaced asap.

No power on Whirlpool Microwave MH7110XBG

There is a ceramic fuse inside the unit. You can order it from repairclinic.com. Use your model number to search for it. Sounds like your problem. Simply replace the fuse and you should be good. Remember to unplug the microwave before you open it up.

Let me know how this works out for you.

Kenmore built in microwave displaying "D" and wont heat.

"d" may mean demo mode. The first thing to try is a "hard reset". Unplug it from the power outlet for 10 minutes, plug it back in, set the clock, then try again.

Power outage now microwave won't work

Most likely blew internal fuse. Pull the top/side cover off and check the line fuse. It should be behind the control panel in that area.

The first thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.

If that doesn't work, leave it unplugged for maybe an hour.

Then let us know if the hard reset does not fix it.

But please reply back with your full model number so we can help you.

A full Sears/Kenmore model number has 3 digits, a dot, then 8 more digits, such as ###.########

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

Kenmore elite microwave touch screen stopped working

Same thing happened to us. We just came back from Sears, where we bought another. Just for giggles, my wife suggested unplugging the old one and plugging it back in again. It works now. New one's going back to the store.

Does the digital display light up at all? Is it completely dead? Are you sure it has power? Have you tried another outlet? If the outlet is good and the unit is completely dead, the internal fuse may have blown. You can try to take the cover off (with the unit unplugged) and look for a blown fuse. Try replacing the fuse with an EXACT fuse of the same rating. Try plugging the unit back in again and see if the unit comes back on. If not, you may have a power supply issue or defective Magnetron.

Please let me know what you find and we'll go from there.

Good Luck,
- Jim
