Need to format my mp4 player where do i go help

"To format plug it in to usb. Go to my computer It shows up as a removable disc, usually drive f: Right click on drive f: (or the appropriate drive) and click format."
So basically where you see the name of the MP4 appear right click on it and there should be a format option when you do.

What is the make and/or model of this MP4 player?

My first inclination is that you need to reformat the storage area on this player. But with a make/model I can tell you for sure.

Instruction manual for MP4 player

Try loading the disc it came with. Most devices for use on computers have manuals on disc or online. Google its model number+manual if the manual is not on the disc.

Describe your element gc-822 error Problem I loaded the songs and they wont play. It says "disc error."

check to see if your files are MP4, vs MP3. MP4 files won't play in this player, so you'd have to convert them to mp3.

Warning File Format Error

It seems that your trying to play a video that the media player does not support. The video works on your computer because the computer supports many more video file formats that the media player does. Make sure that the video your trying to play has a .mp4 file extension after the file name, meaning that it is a mp4 file. Try another known working mp4 video file.
good luck and i hope this has helped.

Can't play videos

You need to use the Media Converter that came with the installation CD - must run video files only through it. Check manufacturer's website for software if you no longer have install CD.

Lost download disc

I couldn't find any software that could make your mp4 works, but if you have windows XP you don't need to have a Cd.
The computer by itself recognize it.
Also if you have the cable just plug it in the new computer and he will recognize it if it is windows XP. but if you have Windows Vista you will have to buy the Disc.
I hope my answer helped you .. Thank you

Mp4 says disc error

1. There is a reset button at the back of the player. Press it with a paper clip.

If that doesn't fix the problem:

2. Update the firmware by downloading it from the Samsung website. You will be able to locate the software by clicking on the Support link.

If the updated firmware doesn't solve the problem then the problem is hardware.

You won't be able to fix it if it is a hardware fault so don't even try to open the unit. You will need to return it and have it fixed under warranty.
