Problem for Hitachi 61SWX10B 61 in. Rear Projection Television

When I switch on the TV, It came on alright for few minutes then the sound will go out. Changing the settings on Theatre menu and keep on playing with it for a while would make the sound go back. First with crackling sound then it will become normal and it will stay normal for quite sometimes. When I turn off the TV and turn it back on the same thing happen. What could be causing this problem?

you have a bad surround sound board, you must replace the board or send it off to pts electronics for rebuild, to save money you can hook up a seperate stereo to your cable box or sat. box and take the tv out of the loop for sound.
