for the pearl: you will need to contact your service provider if you need to unlock the sim to use it with another carrier....it is free but it will take a few days to get the code back if they have tot contact the manufacterer....but you need the 16 diget code......after you get that, go to options, advanced options, sim card, type MEPPD. scroll to sim card, type MEP and pres the ALT key and then the 2 key.

if that doesnt work, instead of typing MEP2, try pressing and holding the ATL key and type MEPPE

if this works, a window will pop up asking for the unlock code....

for the WING: not as hard....just contact the service provider....once you do that....put a foreign sim in the phone and turn it on.....a dialoge box will show up and ask you to imput the 16 number code.....

**NOTE** a forgein sim will need to be in both phones in order for this to work....
