Fan not responding to remote

I think the model of this fan is 52" Redington IV, it only has a remote. No pull chains, etc. The fan is currently on high and when you push 'fan off' button on the remote nothing happens. The light won't come on either. When you try to operate the remote, the red light comes on but the fan does not respond. Tried replacing the battery, same problem.

My control won't activate the light on my Hunter fan. The light comes on via pull chain fine, and the control works the 3 speeds on the fan, but the light won't respond.

Check the wiring on your receiver to make sure the light wire is connected. You have to have the light on with the pull chain and then use the remote to turn it on/off.

You might check to see if the blue wire is connected on top in the canopy and check if you have voltage coming out to your light kit at the wire connection with a meter. Careful with the power.

My Redington IV ceiling fan with remote controller is stuck at low speed. I can turn on/off light and on/off the fan but can't change speed. It just happened recently after about three years of working...

It's possible the fan is in reverse and some fans will not on function faster or lower speeds, check for a switch on the side of the fan just above the blades.

Ceiling fan with light and remote stopped working

It's most likely the receiver for the remote (transmitter) -- it's located under the cover at the top of the fan -- will need replacing.

The light does not work

Possible causes, from most obvious to least: bad light bulb, pull chain in off position, if it has a remote the reciever might be bad, bad wall switch, loose wire in ceiling box or switch box. Hopefully it's one of those.

After installation fan and light will not work

Did you make sure the wire nuts were tight in the fan and in the box? Is there a switch controlling this fan?

Light not working by pull chain or remote.

I would try removing the remote part. Connect the two main (light & fan) wires direct to your house main. Then if the pull chain works then you just need a new remote unit.
