Question about Lexmark X6100 Flatbed Scanner
I have an X6100 3 in 1 printer that I got to use on my PC. Well, for some reason items take forever, if never to print. I have reinstalled the software and nothing. It's a PC 2000 Gateway Me system that I am using.
I want to use the printer on my Apples and it appears that the software is not compatible with Apple. What can I do?

This sounds like an attempt to make legacy hardware work with legacy software. If you have an iMac you are probably running Mac OS 9 or so on it.
If you are trying to connect this printer to an iMac do you even have the ability to connect it? Does it have LPT1 and a USB connection available? Tell us a little bit about this printer if you would. I have not had much success with Lexmark nor am I a fan of the brand for obvious reasons.
I am not sure this is worth the trouble, honestly, Inkjet printers are slow by nature and have expensive cartridges. I would invest some money in something that you know is compatible with your iMac, perhaps even a laserjet model if it's within your budget, one that connects with USB and has a cd with it when you take it home from the store.
Furthermore, (no offence meant) Windows ME was the sloppiest OS Microshaft ever released and it could very well be the problem with your printer being slow in the first place it is full of RAM memory holes and had all kinds of issues. If you don't end up getting a better printer, I would at least suggest getting a system with at least XP Pro on it to make using that printer a bit easier by using some plug and pray techniques.
Hopefully this helped out...I dug around for some drivers for you to see if this printer was compatible with your Mac but didn't respond because I didn't find much to help you out using google magic.
Wish I could do more for you...hopefully some of my rantings helped out.

Hope this link completely works.
But I am on the lexmark site and have found an OS-X driver for that product. I will check this link and see if it works. If not I will type it in for you.
