Re: Chaintech Motherboard NO SCREEN

Unplug the power. Then start with only the items you need to boot. Remove any cards that might be causing an issue, if you can't simply find the culprit of your boot lock issue. This sounds like a card or some RAM or something isn't quite plugged in. If your power supply still gives power to the system check to see if the fan on the power supply died. This could mean you need a new power supply if the old one overheated and cooked itself.

Sometimes you will get a card that is half plugged in and it will cause a short and the system will not fully power to avoid ruining the motherboard completely. After re-seating all the cards, try to boot it again. Check ALL connections and look for any USB connection that might be stopping the system from booting as well.

If you have a different video card you may want to try it next if you still can't get video.

Hope that helped out...

Can MSI MS-6380E support radeon x1800?

1) Motherboard uses a Socket A processor socket. Also known as Socket 462.

When they switched from the Athlon single-core processors, to the Athlon 64-bit dual-core processors, they went to a completely different processor socket.

So using the MSI MS-6380E motherboard with a dual core AMD processor = NO.

I don't seem to find an AMD Athlon 64 X2 1.8GigaHertz processor, except for a mobile version. One used for a laptop in otherwords,

Uses a Socket S1 mobile processor socket,

(Socket 939 processor socket, too)

Greetings.I have GA-K8NE motherboard. My question is which is the best processor i can upgrade? My current processor is AMD semprom 2600+.thank you!

The best processor you can use with your GA-K8NE ( socket 754) is the AMD Athlon 64 3700+ Newcastle. It has 1MB of L2 cache, system bus of 1600 MT/s.

This processor is supported on both revisions of the motherboard (rev.1.x and rev 2.x)

Will a dual core or multi core processor fit into and work in a elitegroup 761gx-m754 motherboard?

Unfortunately there are no dual core CPUs for this motherboard. The 761GX-M754 motherboard has a 754 socket which supports the Athlon 64 / Sempron CPU. AMD never released a dual core CPU for the socket.

I wish that I had better news for you.

I am using ASUS K8VMX motherboard with AMD Athlon 64 2800+ motherboard. Now my motherboard has gone bad. I want to change it. Suggest which motherboard should i use (754 socket)

Whatever board that is in a microATX format and has a 754 socket will do - they all had the same general hardware characteristics and requirements - so get the cheapest you can find.

Plz help me out...problem in assembling AMD Athlon 64 processor in KVM800M board

There is no fix for that. You need a board that is the same as the original because that is the size of the processor. If that is a socket 462 processor, it is only designed and will only run in a motherboard with socket 462 on it. You need to either replace the processor or replace the board with the correct one.
