Hello!
After a year of working properly, the WD mybook 1TB diappeared from the network. It appears to power up properly, ie. the fan goes through its speed cycles and the blue ring goes around, but the 2 LEDs for the network don't light up and my computers on the network do not see it, yet they see each other. Has anyone seen this problem? Other then buying a new network drive, does anyone know a solution to the problem?

I have a WD 1TB Drive. It used to keep crashing. I moved it away from my wireless router, and it seemed to work fine for a while. Eventually, the Sky box started playing up, and I moved the storage device away from the Sky box - All is fine now - Sky is working great, Router is as fast as ever, and my WD Storage device has never crashed since. Not a total geek, but perhaps some sort of electromagnetic issue?

Have you tried different cables or a different port on your router. Is there any way to get into the Hard Drive by connecting it directly to a PC and checking the network settings or anything..? If not, then you may have to connect it directly to a PC and share it to your other PC's.
