Gas pack comfortmaker will not run on cool or heat blow fuse replaced it transformer on high voltage side bad replaced it bypassed low voltage but unit still want run could control board be bad.

You need to be a little clearer. Im not exactly understanding what you are saying. One thing I can say is I would remove all field installed low voltage and inspect factory wiring. Repower unit, if fuse holds its likely external. If fuse still blows, depending on where fuse is could be board. Best Wishes.

I have an ir ssr-up6-30-125 that keeps blowing control fuse on transformer

is this a a/c? blowing fuse is usually related to a low voltage problem. check low voltage wires ( SMALL WIRES THAT ALSO RUN THERMASTATE) CHECK FOR BARE WIRES, broked ,cracked ect..if this is a split a/c ..... has inside and outside units. disconnect wires going to outside and see if it still blows. if not repair or replace wires. wires going outside are usually the problem

What can i replace a 5kv .85A with?

What is a 5kv .85A?

If it is a fuse, you can replace it with a 5kv .85A fuse.

This is a high voltage fuse rated at 0.85 amps. You can probably replace it with any 0.85 amp fuse of the correct length/width but try to get the same type as original. Most critical is amp rating.

Not working keeps blowing transformer

If the transformer is blowing then you have the wires shorted somewhere. Trace down the thermostat wire and correct the short. To keep from ruining a transformer install an inline fuse on the low voltage side. How it works: transformer 101

How to connect a thermostat to heat source. bought thermostat to work in a homemade incubator. i can power in unit but when i connect heat source(light bulb) it wont switch it on when temperature is below...

get yourself a RIB (relay in a box) relay that is rated at 24/120. Also purchase a 24 volt door bell transformer. Wire 2 24 volt thermostat from one side of the transformer to the low voltage side of the relay then to the 24 volt thermostat than back to the other low voltage wire of the transformer. On the high voltage side, from your light bulb cut the wire going to the center lug of the light. Run one side of the wire to one side of the high voltage side of the relay, then run a wire from the other side of the relay (again high voltage side) to the the other side of the wire you cut on the light.

I need A wiring digram for a Byrant 7a4anf036000abaa air handler It is old but still in good shape . I just need to change the transformer an a frind removed the wires and i need to check a digram before...

I have searched high and low for a schematic and that model number doesn't even come up anymore? I have worked on bryant units for years . I can tell you by the 036 , it is a 3 ton unit. as far as replacing the transformer, you may not need a diagram. If you know what the voltage is coming into the unit, lets say208/230 and look to see what your control voltage is by looking at the voltage rating on one of the parts in the system, I would say 24volts, your chances are good you can install the transformer. A new 208/230voltx24volt trans, comes with all of the wiring laied out for you. Find the 2 high voltage Line wires coming in and tie to the high side of the transformer, and the 2 wires labeled for 24 volts to the load side, and your all set.Keep in mind that some of these universial transformers come with several colored wires for different voltages, so be sure to look at the transformer diagram and it will tell you what colors to tie together for the voltage you need. You should be able to pick up where you're friend left off, just look for the high volts in for one side and low volts out for the control side.Be sure to have a meter on hand to check the voltage. Just take your time, you can do this.

Ps It wouldn't hurt to add a 5 amp auto fuse to one of the wires on the low voltage side of the transformer, in case you miss wire it, and it will blow the fuse and save the new transformer. All you need is 2 female spade connectors and a 5 amp fuse.
Good Luck, Sincerely, shastalaker7

One unit runs a while, powers down, other unit blows transformer

you say it keeps blowing the transformer? you mean circuit breaker? if it is the circuit breaker, have the wiring checked for a short, if no short do a ohm test on the compressor. it may have shorted out internaly.

Kenmore Micro/Oven fuse keeps blowing

Disconnect the connector to the primary winding of the high voltage transformer. Put a new fuse . If the fuse is not blowing the problem may be in the secondary side of the high voltage transformer. Chek the highvoltage diode, capacitor, magnetron respectively. you can also check the primary winding of the low voltage transformer.

Burning out transformers (more)

The transformer has a high voltage side which can be 240v or 115v and then leaving it is 24v. It could be a multi transformer that can be used for different input voltages. You should use no more than a 5 amp fuse for it and doesn't matter what kind. You can buy a transformer that has a fuse built into the unit that just trips and then you reset it. Yes, you can energize the valve by jumping it, but I would not recommend it unless you are a trained professional. If you are blowing a transformer then it is only 2 things......You have a multi that you have wired with two high voltage or more likely, it's a low voltage short. It's not the reversing valve. If you have any more questions, please post again and I will get it asap.

My tv wont turn on properly

TV's use high voltage to generate the stream of electrons traveling across the picture tube hitting the screen and lighting it up (thus the name Cathode Ray Tube). It takes about 25,000 volts to do this. In normal air, it takes about 1000 volts to jump an inch of air, so the high voltage transformer needs to have good insulation. It generates the voltage through a technique of charging the transformer's magnetic field with a low voltage of about 140 volts then letting it go where upon it flys back out the high voltage side at much high levels (Thus the common name flyback). A most common failure in a CRT type TV is for the insulation to crack in this transformer which is a unique component for each model of TV and leak out the current overstressing the circuit driving it. You can liken it to a little bolt of lightning getting loose in the circuit and has the same sound on a smaller scale.
It would be well to replace your flyback transformer before it gets worse and blows up something else as well. Best done by a professional used to handling high voltage. The picture tube can retain voltage even when the TV is unplugged for some time, and replacing the anode lead (the big red one) can be dangerous.
Hope Ya Fix It!
