Re: Sound and modem driver

Hey I hope this help you out and hope it works. Ok I did the samething because I did not like that vista program, I had the exact same problem, Ok make sure what drivers your computer uses, and just double check, Ok go into your device manager look down the list there should be yellow ? marks by the drivers that are not working. Roll down to what ones are yellow right click and update drivers see if that works frist. If that does not work find all the info at the toshiba website for your model and frist download the board drivers, then.Nic drivers, then do sound and audio drivers, That should work for you if It does not work Please Let me know and I will find the drivers you need with a little more info I can figure out what you need and we can get you back up and running or hearing LOL bear001 Thank you

Downgrade from Vista Basic to XP Pro - Toshiba Portege M800

It depends a lot of the rest of your hardware acctually, audio card, video card, etc.
Download everest, that software will tell you what hardwre you exactly have, and then you can look for each driver.
To save time, first install windows xp, and then install everest to discover which drivers are missing, if you are lucky only 1 or 2

Downgrade to Windows XP.

Due to the fact of the many people that wish to downgrade to Windows XP, many computer distribution companies keep current driver software that is compatible with the various Windows OSes. I checked the Toshiba website for drivers for the Satallite A205-S5809 and they have drivers for WIndows XP, XP SP2/SP3, Vista 32-bit, and Vista 64-bit. They have all the drivers you should need to make the changeover. I hope this helps.

Downgrade Vista Home Basic to Xp SP2

first, you have to know who manufactured those hardware liek for example a vga card, if its nvidia then you should check their site and look for the appropriate driver now if you can't figure out what are their brand, you caninstall them through automatic searching just go to device manager and right click on the icon that needs to be installed then search automatically if still doesn't worked out, open your cpu and check the hardware in that way, you can easily distinguish who manufactured that hardware

No sound coming from laptop

did you have the laptop/notebook from new if so then you should have had a set-up disc containing all of the drivers needed to activate items such as modems, sound card, graffics card etc.
this is just a simple problem and can be rectified instantly by inserting set-up disc and loading all avaliable drivers!
if no disc avaliable then log onto the toshiba website and download the up to date drivers needed for your laptop/notebook
