Question about Maytag Neptune MDE5500AY Electric Dryer
How do I tighten it?
The panel removes from the front, after the doors have been removed. Make sure you unscrew and take off the doors evenly, being careful not to break the clips on the hinge side of the doors. The front panel pops off, and you can gently rotate the drum so you can access the guides from the side opposite the motor. We used a screwdriver and lug wrench to loosen, reposition, and tighten the screws. It took about 30 minutes from start to finish.

This is for a Neptune MDE5500AY front loading Dryer.
UNPLUG THE DRYER.
Take the screws out of the white spacers inside the door opening. Remove spacers. Take the screws out of the door hinges. Remove door. Grab the front panel and lift up and pull the top out. The front hinges at the bottom. Lay the front down slightly and then pull the bottom away from the dryer.
To access the drum, you must lift the top. Before you can do this, you must remove the bare metal plate on the back of the dryer that connects the control panel the the main part of the dryer. Just remove the 5 or 6 screws and take the panel off. Then you must remove the 2 screws (one on either side, of the front panel, about 1/3 of the way down from the top of the dryer. These screws fasten two metal hold downs to the front panel, and hook up and outboard through the front part of the dryer top. With the screws out, the hold downs should fall right out. The top of the dryer will now hinge up (top will rotate back on the white plastic hinges). You now have access to the drum and can see where the teeth screw in to the drum from the back side. Roll the drum around with your hand to put the loose tooth on top and replace or tighten the screws. (While you have access, be sure to tighten all the screws on all the teeth.) (Also while the dryer is open, its a good idea to vacuum out any accumulated dust and lint.)
To put stuff back together, reverse the process. Drop the top down and replace the hold downs and screws. Put the metal plate back on the back of the control panel and replace the screws. Put the bottom of the front panel into the pivot points at the bottom of the dryer, and pivot the front up, then drop it down slightly until it snaps into place. Replace the plastic spacers on one side of the door opening, and replace the door hinges on the other side of the door opening using the appropriate screws.
Plug dryer back in.

Why do you say that the drum is loose? Are you able to wobble it by hand? If so, that is evidence of a bad roller that the drum sits on.
If the drum doesn't turn as fast as it did, that is probably a loose belt, which would indicate that the belt tensioner is not working or belt has jumped the tensioner.
