Question about Nintendo Wii Console

1 Answer

Wii I have a Wii and have downloaded the old super mario and several others. I purchased a game card for the Wii hoping that it would save my place in the mario games but it does not.  I have to start from the very beginning every time I play.  Can you tell me how or if I can save the world I am in with some type of card, etc. so that I don't have to start over every time. Thank you for your help,   Renee

Your in luck! My son had the same problem!Even though there is no possible way to save your place on the wii game card if you press the home button on the wii controller well in the middle of the game and then press main menu the game will be paused and when you return to your game you will be in the exact location.

Son accidentally cleared unlocked tracks and character on his mario kart license. is there a was to retrieve them w/o having to go through unlocking them again?

Im sorry but once its deleted its over .. but u can unlock all the progress by downloading a pre saved save game for example these save files: http://www.wiisave.com/?cid=197 ..... u put them on an SD card like this..(Root Sd)/private/wii/(the save)..

finally to transfer from Sd to wii :

On the home menu, go select "wii" and then "save data options." You'll see two tabs at the top: "Wii" and "SD card." You may have a third tab for a game cube memory card, but ignore that.

Select "SD card." You'll see all the wii data saved to the card as graphic images. Select any you wish, and it'll give you an option to either copy or erase the file. Select "copy," and it will copy that data onto the wii.

How do I do a save in Super Mario Bros. Wii

Your only options are to complete a boss-level and save after the fight, or do a quick save between levels.

If you do a Quick-Save ( World-map Pause menu ) it will save your progress and position until you load your file again, But if you get a game-over it will send you back to your last actual save.

We had the same issue this morning. you have to upgrade the Wii system menu. Look in the front page of the Super Mario Bros instruction bulletin and it tells you to do this. You have to be connected to the internet through your Wii though to do this, but our is now working. The download takes a few minutes but all is good. Hope this helps.

Just select the System Update option in Wii System Settings - just make sure your Wii is connected to the internet.

I had a simaler problem with my Wii. Solution: save data to SD card (or a card that goes with X-Box 360) and get a new X-Box 360. The thing with my Wii happens in the following cases: When I enter the observatory in Super Mario Galaxy, when I use the elevator to Flipside First Floor in Super Paper Mario, when I go through the living room in Elebits, and when I transform into a wolf in Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. The beep buzz thing happens in Super Mario Galaxy and Twilight Princess, and slows down in Elebits. The game freezes in Super Paper Mario, but the music keeps going. Trie getting a new X-Box 360. When I got a new Wii, the problem was fixed! Also, there is a rare glitch that only some Wiis have. The glitch was gone when I got a new Wii. The glitch is: In Super Mario Galaxy, when Bowser tries to stomp you, he sometimes escapes the planet's gravity and flies into space. You can watch, and then restart.
