    I have the same problem

I have the same problem. Dell told me that the "lamp driver has gone bad" and that you cannot fix it. If it's under warranty (as mine is for only 19 more days!) they will ship a replacement projector. Otherwise, the bill would be $730 and I would have bought a new projector instead.

Had the same symptom. After disassembling I noticed that one cap (10V 3300uF) in the power supply circuit was boiled. (the top was domed out). I replaced it with 2200uF for testing (because i didnt have another one at hand) and everything worked fine again :))

Lg tv will not turn on it is a micro projection 55 inch hd dlp xd hit power a hundred times and it will eventually turn on but this is what it does it will blink yellow the bulb will light up screen will...

Have you actually replaced the lamp first? A weakened lamp will often cause random shutdown or troubles during initial firing of the lamp. The LG televisions will be just the bulb itself not the complete lamp assembly. It's not hard to replace the bulb as long as you first allow the TV to cool down for a minimum of an hour. Then you will want to handle the lamp with latex gloves on to avoid getting oils from your skin on the bulb. You can find your bulb replacement at

I have an LG DLP. that turns off after 15 -30 seconds

If the second light is blinking to orange or red, that is usually the lamp indicator light on an LG DLP tv. That indicates your bulb needs replaced, or something surrounding the bulb has failed (like the cooling fan for the bulb for example) IF you have a spare bulb handy, I'd replace the bulb, keeping in mind if you touch any part of a new bulb with your bare hands, you just cut the life of the bulb by more then half.

3rd lamp purchased within 2 yrs

There is a slight chance that you might have an issue with a defective ballast, I mean 3 lamps in 2 years, it's too much. The best way to go here is replacing the ballast, that might solve the issue.

TV was working earlier, today came home no green power light no nothing

I looked up the manual online - after you replace the bulb, you need to reset the bulb life timer. Using the TV remote push the menu button, SETUP menu, select the lamp reminder option to reset the hours to zero. That might help the status indicators.

TV will not power on 4 red blinks

I found the following suggestion on and it worked perfectly (going through the lamp door).

I'm a longtime lurker not much of a poster, but this happened to me to yesterday. I used civicsixxx's advice and this works. However you don't have to take anything apart. All I did was take out the lamp then put your hand in carefully to the right and you'l feel the fan just give it a spin and plug back in the light and the TV your good to go. Hope this helps.

TV doesn't turn on

You really should give make & model number when posting, it helps us immensely, your lamp and possibly the ballast is bad, start with a new lamp first, odds are very good that it will fix your problem, can`t help more without manufacturer and model number, good luck, ps, order the original lamp, generics are junk and a waste of your money.
