Question about NorStar M7310 Corded Phone

Norstar M7324 Corded Phone Problem

One of the extensions is not receiving any internal or external call. The person who is using this extension can make any calls, but when I try to transfer an external call or intercom, the display shows the name of the person with the message "not in service".

3 indicators are not on when phones are in use

I will assume that the indicators you are referring to are the autodial buttons for the sets. First press feature * 0 (button inquiry) then the buttons in question, if they are not the extensions expected then press feature * 2, then the button and then dial the extension #.

Do you mean how to make it ring when someone calls a specific phone number, or when someone calls the specific extension?

If for a phone number, then you need the line to appear and ring on the phone. Let me know which one you're doing.

How do i forward calls to an outside line on Nortel M7324

You can forward an extension that is not used at all, and has the lines assigned to ring that you want to forward to an outside number. In programming have the extensions set to forward on busy to the external number using 9+ the number desired. When you leave for the afternoon, take the handset off the phone, and replace it when you return. NOTE THIS EXTENSION MUST NOT BE USED BY ANYONE -- IF THIS EXTENSION IS BEING USED AND A LINE RINGS IN IT WILL BE FORWARDED OUT.

Loud extension ringer used with Norstar Meridian phones will not ring. Any ideas why?

Most external loud ringers are analog and your phone is digital. You would also need a digital to analog converter and use an additional digital extension to make it work.

Program personal speed dial numbers on a NorStar M7324 Telephone

For external numbers press FEATURE *1, then press the button you want to store the number on, then enter the phone number using the dialpad.
For internal numbers press FEATURE *2, then press the button you want to store the number on, then enter the extension number using the dialpad.
To determine what is currently programmed on a button, press FEATURE *0, then the button to identify and the display will show what feature or autodial number is programmed on the button. If the button is a line button or line pool button, you will not be able to clear it through user level button programming. System level programming must be accessed to change line appearances.

How do I send a call to internal voice mail?

Use feature 986 (transfer to VM) then enter in the co-workers extension number. That will bypass the extension and send the caller directly to his voicemail.

My phone is Norstar M7324. I can't get voicemails. I have customers called and left voicemails but I can't receive them. I use Feature 981 and it tells me no messages everytime. Any advise? Thanks.

Maybe the callers are leaving messages in the General Delivery mailbox? From your phone, dial Feature 981, when it prompts you for a password, press the button under "OTHR", and you will be prompted for the log. (The log is the mailbox and password combination for a mailbox not assigned to your phone.) If you use 2-digit extensions, the General Delivery mailbox is #10, for 3-digit extensions, the mailbox number is #100, and etc. The default General Delivery mailbox password is "0000". So, using 2-digit ext's, the log would be 100000, then press # or OK and you can retrieve the messages. Write back if you need more help.

How do you page with a Meridian Norstar M7208 phone?

There is another page, acting more like a directed intercom page...

If you want to talk to someone and you know where they are (general area) you can do a FEATURE 6 6 and the extension number.

This is a direct page and when you page this way, that person can respond back and you can hear them.

Internal autodial

It sounds like you have a problem with your phone, possibly a stuck button. Have the phone repaired and/or refurbished.
