Fan need a light push to begin to spin, if not

It's the run capacitor for your fan. You'll need to pull it out and replace it. Look on Youtube about how to replace a condensing fan run capacitor. Make sure you get the same voltage and microfarad rated capacitor. Make sure you also disconnect the power to the unit. You can get the part at any HVAC parts house or Grainger. Should cost around $15

Hi, you have either a bad cooling fan motor, or a bad relay for the cooling fan motor.

When it begins to heat up, look and see if the fan is running. You can go to a parts store and buy the relay, they will show you where to put it in. If that doesn't fix it, then you need to have the fan motor tested. It could also be a circuoit in the computer gone bad. This happens quite frequently.

The reason it heats while at idle but not while moving is, when you are moving, air flows through the radiator. When stopped, the fan has to push the air. If you have AC, all fans should run when the AC is on.

If nothing obvious like blocked / obstructed outlet pipe
You need to check if the outlet pump motor in line with the outlet hose is spinning when in the outlet mode. First check if it is spinning by looking at it and see if the small fan is spinning. If it is turnning this means that it has power and the internal "impeler" that pushes the water out has become loose. Remove the pump (easy job) and repair. If it does not spin you need to determine if the 2 push on terminals have power on. If there is voltage and the motor does nut spin this indicates that the pump motor is open circuit and must be replaced.

Since your dryer is "new" it is under warranty. I will explain the possible reasons why it will not spin. Then you can decide whether to make the warranty call or not.

If your dryer doesn't tumble, check these:

Belt
Motor
Door switch
Belt Dryers have a drive belt that turns the clothes drum. If the belt breaks, the drum stops rotating. Then you need to replace the belt, and often the idler pulley, because the pulley tends to wear out at the same time.

Motor If the dryer motor only hums when you press the Start button, the motor may be burned out. Here's how to test the dryer motor:

• Remove the belt.
  
  
• Check for obstructions in the blower fan housing.
  
  
• Manually rotate the shaft of the motor.
  
  

If the motor is very stiff, or impossible to rotate manually, and the blower fan housing is clear, you need to replace the motor.

If the motor rotates freely, run the motor momentarily with the belt removed and the blower in place. If the motor runs fine with the belt removed, there may be a problem with the idler pulley or the clothes drum. Try to rotate the drum by hand. If it is very difficult to move, correct any problem with the rollers or pulley, and then reassemble the dryer and try it again.

If the motor hums but doesn't rotate on its own even with the belt removed--yet you can turn it freely by hand--you usually need to replace the motor or the motor start capacitor.

Door switch Your dryer can't operate at all if the door switch is defective. It's inside the dryer main housing near the door frame. Sometimes you need to raise or open the top or front of the dryer to reach the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.

Since you stated that the heating element is heating up I believe it rules out the thermal switches.
When you push the start button does it make the motor make any noise? Maybe hear the motor humming? Two things to check for are Broken Belt or Bad Motor:
This requires common sense and since you are going to be bypassing the safety features you need be CAREFUL.

First, with door open, manually press in door switch to by-pass door safety, then press "start", try to manually start the dryer by spinning the drum by hand, If you hear the motor humming but it does not start spinning on it's own; most likely it is a broken belt which can be changed without much difficulty for less than $15 bucks. NOW if it then continues to spin on it's own GET YOUR HAND OUT OF THERE and close the door; you have a bad motor and even though it started it needs to be replaced. A motor for that is available for just under $100 bucks and is not to bad to replace, I would recommend replacing the belt at the same time since you will be in there. Good Luck!

Is the unit on the return side or the supply side of your system ?
Is the system upflow or downflow?
You are right in your assumption about the air needing to be drawn through the Humidifier, now before changing the direction of the motor, we need to look at if the unit should be moved to the other duct, its alot less complicated, now when the fan comes on from the furnace, you have no trouble heating the house right ? if that is the case then moving the humidifier to the other duct would be your best bet, if your heating for some reason is only comming out of the return then yes you will need to change direction on the fan, but I would bet that moving it would do the trick for ya, I have only run into a couple of fans that actually were running the wrong way, thats why I asked, well anyways, you will need some tin, zip screws, tin snips, maybe a little more wire, let me know what ya find, I really appriciate your question back to me, anymore question please ask ! thanks again.

place the push nut below the blower wheel. Don't bother with the top. The centripetal force tends to push the wheel down. The push nut in this position will prevent this.
