I have a Uniden PowerMax 5.8 GHZ two-phone system and I dropped one of
the phones in water. It worked for a little bit, but last night
it shocked me and cut off my call and I do not want to use it
anymore. Can I buy just a replacement phone without the base?
Basically yes, check where you bought it they may have 'defective' units (bases) that they might swap out with you. If time isn't a factor, contact Uniden, and tell them what happened re: getting shocked (hopefully the phone had a chance to dry out prior to you using it); if neither of these avenues work, you'll have to do an internet search to see what's available. Give the amounts of time and travel, it may be cheaper to replace the whole phone & base.

I have a buzzing noise on the phone when I am conversing with friends. How can I remove this problem? The number of rings before the answering service picks up is only two; how can I incease that number?
