Re: Connection problem

No - it may still be the mp3 player. There are a couple of faulty ones I have where the usb connector is faulty, so it tries to connect to the pc using usb but after a few seconds gives up. I don' t know of a solution to this.

The mp3 player no is no longer recognized by the computer.

Dear customer,
Try going into your Device Manager and uninstall all the entries that are something along the lines of USB Root Hub then reboot with all USB Devices unplugged until after Windows detects and reinstalls the USB Root Hubs then plug in your MP3 Player and see if it is detected and installed properly.

Did u change ur Operating system of late? To see what version you have, Right Clcik My Computer and choose Properties. Some USB mass storage devices and mp3 players require that you have Windows XP Service Pack 1 or Service Pack 2 to work. I had a USB flash drive that kept restarting my computer until I installed pleas do check with tat too..
plz rate this solution.. good luck.. thank you..

Sansa clip freezing on refreshing data!

An easy solution is just let it sit over night and it should go back to normal, but you may need to charge it though.

This one is not compatible with Vista - it might work sometimes, but not others - if Sony's website doesn't have an upgrade to make it Vista compatible (I don't believe they do, but you should check), I'm afraid this player has seen the end of it's days - because it sounds like you tried everything else that I would have suggested.

Insignia mp3 players are a little buggy in that they occasionally get file system problems that cause strange things like this to happen. First backup your songs from the mp3 player, and select "erase internal memory". That actually reformats the memory. Then put your songs back on the mp3 player. If it still doesn't work, please advise.

it appears you,ve overloaded it with 1 song too many.
connect to a PC With USB Lead ( If Applicable )
open device usually F:/G:/H:/ open music folder, delete 2-3 songs and reboot.
if this fails, try a reformat on the unit.
check instruction manual prior to all suggestions.

MP3 Player wont play

I've found out how to help this problem. What you have to do is re-download the firmware and reformat the data area.

Download from this site:
(If this doesn't autolink, copy and paste it in your browser's address bar.)

And when you run it, click the checkbox for "Format Data Area." When the message comes up saying you want to delete all the files, click "yes-" it's worth deleting all your songs if it works properly afterwards. You'll have to re-sync your songs and the downloads take forever, but it works.

What the heck?

I had something similar happen. The solution was to reformat the device. connect the player, open my computer, right click on the device, and select format. This will erase everything on the player. DenverTom
