You can actually turn your xbox into a media center. Go to forums.xbox-scene.com. They have tons of tutorials on modding and improving your system.

The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

What is the fastest compatible CPU for upgrade Asus X50GL series laptop

changing chips most time requires a mother board up date to cater for the extra chip pins
best advice here is to take it to a computer repair shop and they will be able to tell you right off if what you want to do is possible with that board
point of interest here
chips are only as fast as the hard drive and rams will work
if your unit has a disc type hard drive consider upgrading that to a solid state hard drive which handles data much much faster than a disc type
just a bit of info when you are talking to the computer geek

There is a failure of some sort related to the system memory.

The first bank of memory probably has a failure of some sort; this is usually just a physical problem such as an incorrectly inserted module, but may also mean a bad memory chip in a module. It is possible that there is a failure related to the motherboard or a system device as well.

good luck, and do rate the solution if helped

Averatec 1020 cpu seems glued to motherboard. Is this possible? I am trying to upgrade the cpu with a new 1.6 intel processor. I have removed the heatsink and there is no release lever or anything else...

CPUs are a snug fit. Be sure there isn't a lever to release the chip. Most Pentium processors do have the lever. Use a chip puller to pull the CPU. Absolutely do not use screwdrivers or pliers. Chip puller is best to give even pressure on both sides and allows pulling straight out.

Cant play games due to "put disc into a xbox 360 console"?

This problem is caused by your disc drive.... A new disc drive bought off of ebay, generally costs about 50 bucks, including the shipping and handling..... You will need to open your xbox to get the model number... yes, it does matter... Once you get the new disc drive... you need to open up the old disc drive... and you will see a memory chip inside and you will need to be VERY careful not to rip any of the parts it is connected to... once you have the chip out... you will need to take the chip out of the new disc drive, and replace it with the chip from your old disc drive... (each xbox 360 has its own unique memory, which can only otherwise be installed by flashing it through a sata computer which much more complicated than it really should be).... once you put the old chip into the new disc drive... put everything back together... for a tutorial on opening an xbox 360 and also fixing disc drive in your 360... i recommend youtube,,, and the person's name i recommend is "fixyourownxbox" These videos are definitely helpful, and saved me mucho dinero $ :D.... Good luck... if you have anymore questions, dont be afraid to ask... i would be more than happy to answer them

Laptop graphics card

Short answer: NOPE.

Long answer: Most modern laptop/notebook/tabletPC's utilize graphics chips soldered directly to the main-board (motherboard; acts like nervous system because everything connects with it). Ergo - upgrading the main-board gets you a new graphics upgrade. This is not cost effective considering the lower price of laptops - your not-so-souped-up laptop served you well, now stimulate the economy and purchase a new one that fits your new needs... Older laptop users may find it a fun time-waster to search the internet for model number + "MXM Port" for the rare/off-chance there is an on-board slot the chip plugs into (hence, removable/replaceable).
HINT: I've been wrong before, but it's sometimes easier to say "NO"
