The phone number in the owner manual is no good. I do not know if the business is still operating. When I moved, the movers removed the disk on the top and lost the cap that seats on top of the disk to keep it in place. I cannot find anything on Ebay or the internet that has any parts for the propane heater. My email is dogsontherun1@gmail.com. If you can assist, that would be great!

SOURCE: Endless Summer Patio Heaters won't stay lit

Hi ColdinSF,

You need to remove the covers from the unit and blow out the gas lines with compressed air. If you can remove the gas lines blow out the lines and what they connect to like the pilot light and main feed line to the burner. Usually they gunk up with use and just need to be blown out with compressed air to clear the lines again. Maybe you have some dirt or foreign object from your gas tank which has clogged the line. Also check the igniter electric lines as well and make sure everything is connected properly. Especially make sure you tighten the gas lines you remove. Hope this helps.

Regards
Bryan

SOURCE: need parts: pilot assembly and thermocouple

THe thermocouple either has 2 wires or a coppr tube going to the gas valve. They can be bought at a good hardware store or a plumbing supply. The length of the wires or copper tube will be the determining factor as to which one you need. As these thermocouples, when heated generate a small electric charge tha keeps the gas valve open. Should cost no more than $10-15 USD

Pilot light will light and stay lit, but will go out when you turn on the burner.

The most likley cause for patio heaters that light but go out when turned up is a worn thermocouple. These are consumable items that need changing when the patio heaters fails to light. Found this site very useful:

We were given an 87" stainless steel propane patio heater. Our deck ceiling is 96". Will that be enough clearance?

Had a look at the manual on a BFX750 patio heater and the distance required is 50cm above (18") and 60cm to the side (24"). If its the same type with around 13kw or 44,000BTU/h of power then this is the clearance is needed for air and heat.

Need an owners manual

I don't have a manual for that product.
Garden Sun appears to a Chinese company direct-selling patio heater product through distributors in US.
http://gardensun.en.made-in-china.com/

There are no product manuals on site.
There is a link for service.
Probably the link for service is about SALES, and nothing to do with faulty products, or repair parts.
I doubt there are repair parts of any sort for the heater.

This type product usually has 30-90 day warranty through the seller where product is simply replaced for new one.
Afterward there are no parts or general repair protocol, and short time later, the product is discontinued and new model takes its place.

Hi, Depends on what is broken. If it will not light the first thing to go on a patio heater is a thermcouple, but it could also be a tilt switch. Found this very useful patio heater guide to problem solving.

Patio heater is getting no gas to light.I changed the regulator but still nothing.

If the heater is a few years old the first consumable part to go is a thermocouple, these are easy to change and when worn will stop the pilot from lighting. If that does not fix it take a look at patio heater porblem solving page which I found very useful.
