Iphone web connection

How do I connect to the web via my iphone which is unlocked and using a basic O2 sim card pay as you go.
I do not have access to EDGE or SAFARI here in the UK as it keeps telling me that I'm not subscribed. Do I need to have a "bolt-on" from O2 which will give me web access?
Any help would be much appreciated

Hi, You can Configure your operators EDGE (wich requires name password and APN) or just connect it to the wireless. There is no risk to block it ;)
