My hp v40xi printer is telling me the wrong black cartridge is installed and it will not print. I have installed the correct cartridge any advice

- I'm using a generic cartridge. obviously it makes a difference but is there any way to make it work?

i assume you have installed the original cartridge, in this case you may need to reinstall the ink once again, the head contains a small chip that recognize the presence of the new ink, unless you are using a generic one which can also cause this issue
