XP - Start -> control panel - add/remove programs and uninstall it.

Vista - Start -> control panel -> program features and uninstall it.

Let windows manage your wireless and wired networks. I promise it is much easier.

How to counfugre asa 5505 cisco Router

Use the Cisco ASDM or SDM software, that will give you an easy graphical interface to configure the ASA. One of them would have been shipped with the device.

Don't forget the ASA has to pre-configured, just a simple config. Have HTTPS enabled and telnet/SSH helps as well if you dont have a serial port or the console cable.

Cisco's website will give you quite a lot of info for free...

Can recieve, cannot send messages

try the acount server config. has well config. try check with your mail server provider. And check if has any firewall active or any antivirus working, sometimes these can block all internet comunications if not working well, try test the antivirus, and check if the firewall is well config.

Greetings, trying to figure out why my toshiba 5205-S504 cannot access local wifi. Some sort of internal wifi device installed and was working until I reverted back to factory conditions and dummy me...

Use the config-Free software to diagnose your connection. Click Start=>All programs=>Toshiba=>Networking=>Config free. It will show you what is wrong and will allow you to enable the wireless if it is not enabled. If for some reason you cannot find ConfigFree you can do the "repair" yourself.

On your Satellite there should be a switch to physically turn the wireless adapter. The wireless adapter must be turned on: its Led should be lit. There is the image of an antenna near the LED.

This done, you should use the start button ( I am describing the procedure for Windows XP Pro) and click the Connect To submenu =>Show all connections.
In the list of available connections, point to the Wireless adapter and make sure it is software activated. Point with mouse cursor, and right click the icon. Select Enable.
If Windows is managing the wireless connections, you should use it to detect the available wireless networks. To do so, right click the wireless connection and select View Wireless networks. It will show you all the available ones. Select the one you have authorized access to and click connect. You will be prompted to enter a key if necessary and you take it from there.

If you perform the foregoing step and Windows is not the one managing your connections, then you must use the Vaio connection manager (could be Intel PROSet wireless) or some other proprietary one.

Good luck.

Can't connect Toshiba laptop to Linksys Wireless Routher!!

If this is a new router then the wireless is turned off by default. You need to log on to it and enable it. Don't forget to turn on security such as wep or wpa. Your toshiba should be able to see the ssid or id that each wifi broadcasts. It will also or should be the strongest signal you see.

If the router is older and the wifi is enabled then make sure that the security setting match on the toshiba. ie wep/wpa key. If it is more than about year old then you can have a failure of the wifi section. That means replaceing the router ( I have a stack of different brands all about 1 year old with a dead wifi section).

Internet won't work and keeps locking up

This could be a range of things. but when you say its blocked it sounds like a firewall is blocking it or some piece of anti-virus software is throughing up a block. McAfee caused a similar problem for me. I would try disabling all anti-virus software.

If this doesnt work I would contact toshiba
