Before you replace the switch have you checked the following.
Proper waterflow / pressure, filter condition, water line has no been crimped or bent, water line is not frozen.
Have you tried unplugging the unit and waiting a few minutes, plugging it back it and checking it?

I am sure these Q's may sound dumb, but I don't know everything you have already done. AND I hate to see people spend money on stuff they don't need.

Hope one of these help.
If so, please rate me.
Thanks,Matt

Water dispenser quit.ice maker works fine you can hear motor hum when pressing water dispenser button

You should not hear the noise of a motor unless you are trying to dispense ice. Is that the case your ice dispensor is not working?

No water from dispensor in door.

Ice supply line is frozen in the freezer door. Using a hair dryer with the door open you have to thaw the line. This will take time but this will fix.

Maytag plus msd2758ge water-dispensing problem

check your micro switch behind the water dispensor lever. You'll need to take the face off the ice/water dispensor to find the switch. Or could be the water valve is stuck in the open position. You'll need to replace the water valve. Hope this helps!

GE Profile Artica - Water & ice dispensor not working.

This could be as simple as the door switch or as complex as the dispenser control board. I would try the door switch first. When the door is close it turns on the dispenser controls. If the contact is defective in the door/light switch then this happens. Unplug remove the door switch and mark wire locations. 1 Powers the lights and the other powers the dispenser. and one is the power itself. Sea Breeze

I have a GE refridgerator model number GSS25IFRE BB the ice maker and water dispensor just stopped working. The filter is new. and still has the problem with the plug in. Also if you hold a glass in the...

Do you have water getting to the filter? if not:first loosen filter and see if you might have air in line, secondly, the copper or aluminum water line from water supply to solenoid may be limed-up,third loosen line at solenoid and see if your getting water that far, those solenoids pulsate when operated on A.C.current you should hear a hum when activated to get water and that would explain pulsating light at water dispenser

Water dispensor not working

Since you have water getting to the icemaker/dispenser, the most common problem I've seen is the solenoid valve is history and needs replacing. It could also be the switch that is normally activated by the dispenser itself and in turn activates the solenoid valve or the wiring in-between the switch and valve, but I have personally not seen either one of those go bad.
