Sharp 32f540 switching input channels

Hi, our tv just started switching channels from input1 to input 2 and 125 on its own. We have checked all the connections, replaced batteries in the remote and unplugged the tv overnight. My question is this an easy and inexpensive fix?

Re: Sharp 32f540 switching input channels

the problem for your unit is the manual button switches. In the long time it wasnt used. it got stucked and somewhat rusted. This problem can best be addressed by replacing the buttons switches(tac switch).
this should solve your problem.

No channels?

Try going into the setup menu and make sure the ANT input is set to cable. Then look for Auto Program or Channel Setup and let it scan and find all the channels it can receive. After it's done you should be able to go up and down through the channels.

Channel switches on it's own

This is probably a sticking button, similar IR signal from another remote control, or simply a short on the system board that holds the controls.  A simple cleaning might take care of this.

I am trying to fix a Sharp 27k-s100 television.

Can you use the remote control to change the channels? If not, it may be that to need to reprogram the remote to work with your TV. I just had the same problem. I have GE universal remote and have reprogrammed it to work with my SHARP 27k-s100 TV by following these instructions: The code that worked for my TV is 173. Other codes listed for SHARP are: 004, 006, 012, 029, 095, 111, 112, 113, 122, 171. Good luck!

HI, Joe ! You probably have a short somewhere. Where? Possibly in the High Voltage circuit.Maybe the horizontal out put circuit. This is a common signal, especially RCA's, that there is a heavy load on one of the power supplies--- like a shorted transistor or ? Stargazer

Sharp tv changing channels

Well, the only thing that seems to be working so far is to plug AV cables into the "input 2" ports (on the front of TV). I plugged in my PS2, without turning it on. It has not switched at random since (about 30 minutes - it had been switching off and on for the past 2 hours). Anyone else have similar success?
