I have red, white and yellow leads plus an S video going from the Dazzle to the TV and the TV connected to the VCR by a Scart, I record sound but no picture. Am I hooked up correctly and what do I select...

If you are using "Composite" output the leads are red/white = sound. Yellow = video. If you are using S-video cable then yes you will need to select that option in the menu.
Hope this helps, Dave

It sounds as if the software is 'dropping frames'

Video consists of 25 frames per second. When capturing video, the computer has to read and compress each frame in real time. If your processor is not fast enough, it cannot keep up and will drop frames.

The problem is it only drops the video frames, not the audio frames, so over time the picture and sound go out of sync.

Make sure your computer meets the minimum specs. for the software. Also close any other programs that are running as this will lighten the load on your processor. If you've got loads of icons in the lower right-hand corner of your screen (these are all progrmas running in the background) close as many of these as possible as well.

Hope this helps,

Make sure that your cable is direct connect to the video out put of your camcorder. If still the same thing uninstall your video device driver. No Picture

You need a 'Y' splitter for the video to split between the TV and the Dazzle box.

Make sure that you have a faster and higher specs of video cards installed into your systems.

This might also cause of the problem since that your capturing from a game console and the signal that your trying to capture might be digital video thats why your not getting the picture but only sounds.

After checking out your video card it seems that your video card is far outdated for this game. You will just need to upgrade it to a newer model and you should see picture.

Windows Movie Maker

A lot of times Dazzle provides a calibration program for video and sound. See if you can run that.

There usually is a seperate audio capture control. If you go to your sound mixer and check the recording settings, is the audio capture from the Dazzle selected?
