Question about Sharp AL-1655CS Copier

1 Answer

I have and HP inkjet PSC 750. It says it has a paper jam. My grandson pulled the paper out the front when it did have a paper jam. I know the proper way is to open the back, etc. However, there is no paper still stuck in there. Do I need to replace the roller, and if so how, and where do I get it for a decent price. Thanks Cindy

I keep getting the message cartridge jam on my hp psc 2355. A paper jam was pulled out of the front so I know this is the cause but how do I fix it please?

It's not saying carTridge jam, it's saying CARRIAGE jam. Something is stuck under the heads.
unplug the power from the unit, and try to manually move the heads off to the left side, checking for paper under the head as you move it over.
Check the head docking area on the right as well.
Plug the unit back in and everything should be fine once everything is cleaned out.

I have a paper jam, and do not know how to open the back up to release the jam.

Most Hp inkjet printers have the same type of cover at the back. Now you only need to open this cover if you are unable to see the jammed paper from the front, otherwise you just get a firm grip of the paper with both hands and pull towards you (Printer most be turned off.). If you cannot see the paper, you will need to open the back cover. If you observe, there is the part of it on one side, usually left side, you can grip. Get a firm grip of it and push gently to the right and pull towards yourself. It will come off. Then you may pull out the jammed paper.

Major paper jam - all the paper has fed into the printer

Take the printer to a qualified technician, for proper repair, if you don't know "HOW" to properly disassemble/reassemble your printer.

PSC 750 continually indicates need to clear paper jam.

Please follow the instructions outlined here:

If you follow the necessary steps, even if there is no real paper jam, it should clear the error.
If you have any troubles, please let us know and we'll try to walk you through it.

Paper won't feed.

I was not familiar with this model and pulled out a paper jam from the front. I now know this is a BIG NO-NO.

It now will take the paper to the beginning print position, sounds like it is printing but paper does not move any further - ever.

Paper jammed and I done a NO NO.....I pulled the paper out the front. Can I fix it ?

I am in the same situation - had carriage is blocked first but seem to have resolved that issue - now I have "out of paper" - did all the suggestions - still can't get a print - did notice on another site a message that HP knows there is a flaw in this printer and they suggest using the roller cleaning kit - I don't see how that will help.

Open Door. Clear carriage jam, and then press Enter

Sounds like you have a jam. Open the back of the printer and checl for any paper large or small. If there is no paper, just opening the door and closing it may get rid of the message. All it takes is a piece of paper the diameter of a pea to send a signal that there is a paper jam. After yuou have finished close the door and push enter to let the printer know you are finished. See if this helps. I don't think it has anything to do with the ink cartridges. It sounds more like something stuck causing the jam. Be sure not to have anything like a staple attached to the paper you are printing on to. A speck of dirt could casue a jam message too.
