Why won't my Sony projector turn on?
Projector Not Turning On
Ensure the projector is properly plugged into a working outlet. Check the temperature lights to make sure the device hasn't overheated and shut down. If you are using a remote control to turn on the projector, check the batteries. Be sure all of the projector latches are closed.
I get this and similar questions often. You turn on your light. It makes noise, you can see lights - perhaps even blinking lights - and assume that it must be running. wall light
ensure that the projector goes through the cool down cycle, for example the fans stop running, before you unplug it. Unplugging it will cause it to into power failure mode which will not allow the lamp to turn on until the bulb reaches ambient temperature. it will also extend the life of that very expensive bulb. take the extra time to let it shut down before you unplug it.
I know this sounds silly, but check the switch on the back of the projector. There is normally a hardware switch, somewhere around where the power goes into the projector. Make sure this is on. Second, try taking out the bulb, WITHOUT TOUCHING ANY GLASS, and replace it. There is often a safety switch that prevents it from powering up without a bulb. Also, try using a different power cord, or try using a different outlet. If it works with a different power cord, your cord was bad. If it works with a different outlet, your outlet will need to be inspected by a qualified electrician, to make sure there are no shorts or other hazards. If none of this works, contact Sony about getting the projector in for repairs. Please do not try to open the projector your self, there are a lot of capacitors that store energy for long periods of time.
Thank you!

definately a lamp problem, for some reason the projector doesnt seem to accept or recognize the new lamp and switches to "safe mode". usually the projector turns off before the bulb explodes...
usually the projector powers and cools down. if you restart it it will open the cover, not projecting anything and after 10 seconds it will close again. this happens if the lamp is shortly before the end of the measured lifetime (no fixed hours) to protect the projector. usually if you take it out once or twice it will work for 1 or 2 more times but the bulb is very likely to explode (not destroying the projector but not good anyways)
I put the AC, and after 2 hours the standby led open, and the projector working fine.
