Question about Palm Treo 600 Handheld
When i touch my touch screen it does not respond to touch. I performed a hard reset and not i can't complete the reset because i can't get past the screen activation
This is straight from Palm Support...
1.Press and hold the UP button on the front panel of your device.
2.While holding the UP button, use an unfolded paper clip, or the reset tool at the tip of your stylus, to gently press the RESET button inside the hole on the back of your device
3.The Palm Computing Platform screen will appear. Release the UP button when you see it.

Thanks, Your the best! I love my old beat up Treo 600. Everytime something goes wrong I panic, buy a new phone, and then find a fix for the Treo. This was a corker
I had exactly the problem listed. Taken the phone apart and put it back with no luck. After this post I took the Treo apart again but removed the Screen Saver and cleand all of the surfaces. Back together and BINGO! I'm in business again. The only problem now is what do I do with the HTC Touch Cruise on the way? Thanks again.

Your a genius! my handheld wasnt responding to the touch screen because the screen protector i had on it was pressing against the screen already! if you have a screen protector on it this may cause your phone to not respond to those who are having this problem! thanks for the help!

Try running a piece of paper around the edge of the screen. There may be was something stuck in there, pressing the screen slightly and causing it to not respond to the stylus.

There's apparently no known software solution to the dead screen problem. However one can bypass the screen setup step by doing a warm reset. See:
