Unit screen says loading, stays on that

if this just happened all of a sudden and you havent tried to update it or anything (the update sometimes causes this) look on the left side of the gps under the flap, there will be a switch to reset your 2200t, but depending on when it was made,(early 2200t or late model 2200t) it will either have a two position slide switch or a switch you depress....

with the gps on, depress the switch and let it restart. if it is the slide switch, move it to the opposite possition then back again to restart it...if it doesnt start, use the power button to restart it.

let me know how you make out and if it doesnt work, i can tell you what to do next.

Will not power up

Have you tried resetting your Nuvi.Press and hold the RESET Button on the bottom of the GPS for several seconds.( reset button is behind the serial number paper). If this doesnt solve the problem, try rebooting by holding the Power Switch for about 15 seconds.Good luck.

Switches on but goes directly to system settings - no way back

reset the unit (read your manual link below) if that doesnt work, the digitizer (touch screen) is probably broken.

Tomtom 720 standby

What you report is very very common. It's also common with other electronic stuff with similar type batteries. I ahve a portable DVD that charges OK 100% and will run for hours after a full charge but If I( charge it , then leave it for a day , the battery has gone flat or nearly flat . Doesnt present any problem or appear to do harm to the battery as it's been like this for about 2 years now. It's just inconvenient , thats all.
My Tomtom is the same , so I did a little modification . I used a read switch ( very tiny ) and broke into the battery cable inside the tomtom and connected the 2 resulting ends to the read switch then positioned the read switch at the back of the tomtom so it would be near to the tomtom mount when affixed . I then glued a small magnet onto the tomtom mount. The result is : The battery inside the tomtom is made disconnected when the read switch opens and it opens when its taken off the mount because it needs the magnet to be closed. ie . the read switch closed when a magnet is put near it and opens when a magnet is removed ( read switch is magneticly operated ). So now my battery doesnt drain as it has no connection to it to drain through. The tomtom will only switch on when its slotted onto it's mount . good luck.

Cannot switch off the gps 350

Do you feel a light click when you push the power button?
If not the switch is probably defective, If you do feel a click, hold it there for several seconds. It should switch off.

No sound comes out of the speaker. The volume settings are correct. The sound is on, and the volume is all the way up. What can I do?

Your problem can be one of several. 1/ you have lost / deleted / corrupted the voices on your SD card. if there are no voices then you won't get any nav instructions. 2/ Your speaker has stopped working , if faulty it will need replacement. ( not unknown and common on early tomtoms ) . On other tomtom models that have an external speaker socket the socket becomes faulty. This socket has a switch that switches the internal speaker OFF when an external speaker is plugged in. If this switch is stuck OPEN then that connection to the internal speaker is lost. However , the Tomtom drums sound is connected to the speaker via a different route so doesnt get switched off by this socket switch so the drums can still be heard.
