Question about LG VX4400
I have a LG VX4400 cell phone, that I used for a very time while I was in Oregon. Now that I have moved to Alaska there is no carrier for the company I had so had to find another carrie. However the sim card does not wot work in it, how do I unlock the phone so I can use it again.
SOURCE: Cell phone sim card
All mobiles have a sim card and are normally located under the battery.
Take the back of your phone, remove the battery and it should be there. Sim cards are normally a small oblong piece of plastic with a corner cut off. The flip side of one will have a metal strip, which is your sim memory. Don't damamge this side of the sim otherwise your card will be useless.
Hope this helps?

SOURCE: How to unlock LG VX4400
Many people never program a password code to "Unlock" this phone, but can lock themselves out by pressing the # key for more than three seconds. I know, it happened to me when I was out of town and needed the phone to work! Anyway, press the button to the right of the large round button at the top of the keypad, you will get a prompt to enter the four digit "Unlock" code. The default from Verizon, and most likely the factory default from LG, is the last four digits of your cell number. Did this work for you too?

When a SIM works in other phones and no other SIMs work in the particular phone, there is a phone issue. Somehow it has become corrupted and it will need replaced promptly. If purchased new from AT&T less than one day ago, it is under warranty as long as there is not liquid or physical damage. If purchased refurbished from AT&T less than 90 days ago, it is under warranty as long as there is not liquid or physical damage. If neither of these apply and you have insurance, use it and there will be a $50 deductible applied to your next bill. If not purchased from AT&T, seek replacement from ebay, craigslist, or a gophone (put your sim in the phone... it will have your phone number, contacts, and information and you won't have prepaid service).
