Re: screen lock

This support document also provides additional information on locking and unlocking the iPod. According to Apple, if you have forgotten the code, you can unlock the iPod by doing the following:
Connect your iPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one iPod synced with), and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked. If you can't unlock iPod using either [the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs]. . . you can restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod. Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod. If you want to change the primary computer that your iPod is associated with, do this: 1. Restore your iPod. Warning: The restore process cannot be undone. All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data. 2. Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer. 3. Open iTunes and synchronize

Unlock Screen Lock and Volume Lock for Windows Vista

First you need to click on My Computer with your iPod connected.
The click on the iPod, click organized, select folder and search options, now click View the click to show hidden files and folders then click apply.

You should now see a folder named iPod_Control, click into this, then click device, now delete the file named: _locked to reset the screen lock and delete _volumelocked

Hope this helps

Forget lock screen code

If it is just locked, you can slide the Hold/Lock switch away from its current position.

If it is asking for an actual password, try 1,1,1,1

If that fails, you will have to open iTunes and Restore your player - it wil lerase all songs, but it will reset the password.

I locked my ipod and forgot the code

If you have a third gen ipod nano and you locked the screen lock and forgot the code, well what you do is you hook your ipod to your PC,laptop ect. and disconnect it. It should be unlocked. But if you lock it you have to do that over again to unlock it.

Cant get into my ipod dont know code

If you locked yourself out of a device, we can't help you. You need to ask your friends for the codes to un-lock the device.

This is a fairly simple (yet effective) anti-crack device, and as such, we can not counsel you on ways to defeat this device.

you first have to find out if it's a screen lock (you can succesfully connect it to your computer) or a "manage lock" (connecting doesn't work too)

if it's a screen lock, connect the ipod the the computer you first used it with (the one you used to install the ipod), open itunes and then disconnect again, it should be unlocked

if it's a manage lock, connect the ipod to the computer and restore the factory settings, warning, this will erase ALL data.
then reconnect it and synchronise
