    Hi,

This was working earlier, later we got the problem.

This Tuner came with the Lap top

and the make is ASUS ATSC/NTSC (Fennec)

In Device manager, it is listed as

Vixs Pure TV-U48a3 Tv Tuner Card.

Hi, can i have some information on the below mentioned issue.
The system goes with 2 TV Tuner cards which can be used with the condition 2 as mentioned on hp.com website which has been highlighted in the below attached image.
The customer has got an RF Connector to use the 2nd TV Tuner card. When the automatic setup or manual setup was ran using the RF Connector, no channels were detected. Tried using only one TV Tuner card and could see all the channels.

used a splitter to connect the antenna cable to both the TV Tuner card. Both the TV Tuner input is detected but not able to view all the channels on the both the TV Tuner card.
Also cannot use the feature of Recording and Viewing simultaneously.
Ex: When recording channel 2 and flipping to channel 3, the system would prompt "Would you like to continue recording." When pressed "Yes", the TV Tuner card is switched but cannot see the channel 3 on the other card but can see some other channel

Also, please tell me the make and model of the tuner.

It looks like you may be stuck.

Here is what I found on HP'S site.

I bought an HP-certified Windows Vista notebook and reverted it to Windows XP. Why do I have driver issues?
The hardware used in an HP certified Windows Vista notebook is more advanced than that of older notebook models. Also, the manufacturers of Vista components, such as the sound card or video card, may not provide drivers for other operating systems.
Before attempting to install a different operating system, create a set of Vista Recovery discs. If there is a problem or you decide you want to return to Vista, you can always recover the PC to a known good condition.
If you are determined to install XP, you can try using the default drivers provided by Microsoft Windows XP, or contact the hardware manufacturer through their support site for more options. HP will not supply drivers for downgrading a Vista PC

You can contact them (VIXS) at:
    http://www.vixs.com/contact.htm

and see if there are XP drivers available.

I m lookin for installing dual boot with Vista ultimate n Windows 7, gotta dvd for both, any help??

If you wan to fresh install, here you can do ::
Try following steps.
Restart the PC, Press Delete for some time
It will lead you to BIOS setting
Go to the Boot Priority menu,
select DVD ROM as First Boot and HDD as Second Boot

Now Insert your Operating system CD: Vista Ultimate
Restart the PC and when screen says " Press any key to continue"
hit "enter"
Let the CD load and then select New Installation
Format the drive by pressing L, and then create three partition , 100 GB for Vista Ultimate, 100 GB for Windows 7 and rest for data.
Hit enter and let os Load

After complete OS loading, system will restart and again you will see " Press any key to continue"
DO NOT PRESS ANY KEY.

OS will boot and register it with microsft. create login and then remove OS DVD,

Insert the Windows 7 DVD
restrt the system, Hit enter when it says " enter any key to continue"
select new installation, point to the earlier created partition for windows 7 installation
proceed with same procedure.
after complete installation, when you restart the pc, you will find both the BOOT entries at booting.
do not forget to load device drivers on both the OS.

Enjoy!

Hello. I got a Toshiba m305-4848 pre-loaded

You have to format the drive...Vista can go"over" XP,but XP cannot override Vista.Or partition your drive and get a dual boot system, then you can choose either O.S., like I have.

Vista & xp service pack2 sinultaneously.

Not both. If you have the Vista recovery, go ahead and load it first, then load the XP by creating a new partition on your harddrive. Now you have a dual boot machine, and will need the XP device drivers. Not sure if you have them or not, so here is a place to get them.

try to download belarc advisor software. Run this in your vista OS and send it to me so I can check your hardware specs. This is the only way to avoid problems in the future or before you start the formatting.
