After searching a lot i got 2 results for you one is : 1:The CD is corrupted? Try getting a replacement CD and see if that works.
2:This issue may occur if your computer contains a hardware component that is either damaged or is incompatible with Windows XP.
loadTOCNode(1, 'resolution');
Warning Do not complete the following procedure unless you are very familiar with internal computer hardware removal and installation. The hardware components in a computer are very sensitive to static electricity. Does your laptop notice the cd rom as a drive, If it does it should start when you boot system, when the laptop asks you to press enter or spacebar to continue, Frist or all we have to know if your laptop notices the drive, If it don't shut down laptop and then remove drive from bay restart without it, Then shutdown again replace drive and turn laptop back on again try to install windows installation CD again. If the laptop still doesn't reconize the CD. You are going to have to go Into the Bios, To do this You Must Press the Delete Key or the F2 key When You are frist starting the laptop , That Means right after You Press Power on Key and your logo shows up, Press key repeately until You get into system settings, Now I am not sure what your Bios screen Looks like But what you are looking for would be Boot seqence, and then what you want to do is read the page to the right and at the bottom of the screen and find out what keys you have to press to change the boot seqence to boot Off Cd rom as your Frist device for the boot up so the frist thing that the laptop may see is the optical CD rom drive. Ok Once you have done this go ahead and exit your bios Save Your current setting, Now try to reinstall your operating system, It should work Now. You should be on your way in minutes. And I hope That this Helps you out, If not I have a few more tricks up my sleeve for you.

Make sure that the windows disk is in good condition and not scratched up clean it up a little bit and try again, Make sure your memory is installed and tight in there sockets, and try again. If that don't work I was wondering if you have uninstalled the old operating system and have tried a F8 and tried that to see if it will start in safe mode or from last known configration try that see what happens if you can get into you operating system then, You should be able to start if you get in go to your accessiores and try a system restore to the day before you had this trouble. I sure hopes that helps you and if not I could talk you thru a couple of thing on the phone call me , You can email me a [email protected] and we will figure it out somehow I'll be back in a hour or so I'll get back to you asap. Ok Hope this helps you. and I also noticed that someone by the name of tom19511 is taking my credit for helping you. I don't know if I like this fixya if people are going to do that kind of stuff I'll start my own website LO take care Hope this helps you, if not we can talk on the phone and maybe I can run you thru something ok later bear001

Toshiba Tecra M1 what are hdd format procedure?

Formatting a laptop is the same as doing it on a desktop computer.
If you are using the Windows installation CD then to get the laptop to boot up with the Windows CD you can change the BIOS boot startup device and make the CD the first boot device.

My tecra m1 os not working safe safe mode with net working safe mode with comand prompt last known good configration start windows normaly i choose one by one that does not working i install...

place XP CD into your CD Drive that is set to boot first in your Bios.
And reboot, When prompted (usually one of first things) press any key to boot from CD" do that....
once you get to the screen that loads press ENTER to "set up XP now"
Then press F8 for the user agreement
The next page will show your previous installs.
choose yours..
Select "Install a Fresh Copy of XP without repairing"
the next page will show some options with your drives and partitions listed below.
from there you want to select the partition with your current XP install,
Then smash "D" on your keyboard to delete the partition (this is where all data is lost on the drive)!
you will need to press Enter on the next page to confirm.
and another confirmation press L
next you will see your drive press C to create an new partition
next you can just hit Enter to create partition the full size of your drive. (suggested) or you can change the size and have multiple partitions.)
once you have created the partition press Enter to install
windows will tell you the drive is not formatted and will offer you
some choices... choose NTFS Quick or Slow ( I use slow on smaller drives and quick on the big ones.)

Request for password

There are a lot of Windows password revealers and crackers available, but I’ve found that Windows Password Recovery Tool is the most effective.:
it not only supports XP, 2000, and NT, I have personally tested it with Vista Home Premium and Ultimate. It works perfectly to reset any local user account to a blank password
You can use the ISO to burn a boot CD. Follow these instructions:
1. Download ISO file from http://www.windowspasswordsrecovery.com Windows Password Recovery Tool
2. Burn to a CD using a CD burning tool such as Nero or Roxio or MagicISO
3. Insert CD into drive and reboot.
4. You may have to select an option in the BIOS to get the computer to boot from the CD.
Booting up and clearing a password takes a minute or two works like a charm.
