Does your laptop notice the cd rom as a drive, If it does it should start when you boot system, when the laptop asks you to press enter or spacebar to continue, Frist or all we have to know if your laptop notices the drive, If it don't shut down laptop and then remove drive from bay restart without it, Then shutdown again replace drive and turn laptop back on again try to install windows installation CD again. If the laptop still doesn't reconize the CD. You are going to have to go Into the Bios, To do this You Must Press the Delete Key or the F2 key When You are frist starting the laptop , That Means right after You Press Power on Key and your logo shows up, Press key repeately until You get into system settings, Now I am not sure what your Bios screen Looks like But what you are looking for would be Boot seqence, and then what you want to do is read the page to the right and at the bottom of the screen and find out what keys you have to press to change the boot seqence to boot Off Cd rom as your Frist device for the boot up so the frist thing that the laptop may see is the optical CD rom drive. Ok Once you have done this go ahead and exit your bios Save Your current setting, Now try to reinstall your operating system, It should work Now. You should be on your way in minutes. And I hope That this Helps you out, If not I have a few more tricks up my sleeve for you.
Make sure that the windows disk is in good condition and not scratched up clean it up a little bit and try again, Make sure your memory is installed and tight in there sockets, and try again. If that don't work I was wondering if you have uninstalled the old operating system and have tried a F8 and tried that to see if it will start in safe mode or from last known configration try that see what happens if you can get into you operating system then, You should be able to start if you get in go to your accessiores and try a system restore to the day before you had this trouble. I sure hopes that helps you and if not I could talk you thru a couple of thing on the phone call me , You can email me a [email protected] and we will figure it out somehow I'll be back in a hour or so I'll get back to you asap. Ok Hope this helps you. and I also noticed that someone by the name of tom19511 is taking my credit for helping you. I don't know if I like this fixya if people are going to do that kind of stuff I'll start my own website LO take care Hope this helps you, if not we can talk on the phone and maybe I can run you thru something ok later bear001
