I have the same problem, both the fan and the light and dimmer have been working fine for over a year. Then one of the bulbs blew, I changed it and since then the light will ot turn on or off with the remote but the fan works okay with the remote. Consequently I can only have the fan going with the light on (ie turned on at the wall switch)

My problem is the same. Bulb blew and now the fan remote will not work for the light operation; only manually. Fan works fine. What can we do? We have the same fan same problem.

Did you have to wire in the remote? If so you prob hooked up the light to constant power source. more info on number of wires on remote unit and wires on ceiling fan pls.

It's possible the fan is in reverse and some fans will not on function faster or lower speeds, check for a switch on the side of the fan just above the blades.

My Hampton Bay ceiling fan runs only on high speed and the remote has stopped working even after changing the batteries. Does Hampton Bay have a life time warranty?

Yes, look up www.hamptonbay.com and get their contact number from them. It sounds like your transmitter (Remote) has failed. If it were the receiver the fan would most likely not work at all.

Redington III. The remote receiver is integral to the light kit. There is no replacing the light kit, you can, however change out the glass, but you're stuck with what you got.

Ceiling fan with light and remote stopped working

It's most likely the receiver for the remote (transmitter) -- it's located under the cover at the top of the fan -- will need replacing.

Electricians can be so much fun can't they ? LOL I would ask the electrician to bypass the remote to check the fan operation first. You need to know if your problem is the remote or the fan itself.. A simple wiring change in the junction box can be done to determine which issue to focus on.. Hope this helps..

Hampton Bay Remote

You must use the switch on the fan itself.

The Receiver for the remote is defective. Try calling the toll-free number listed on the top of the motor housing of the safety label.
