How to Update Sound Driver

Sometime, we will often encounter the situation that the sound driver is froze suddenly or simply unable to play sound while we are playing games or listening to music. These problems are quite difficult to solve for many reasons, but the solutions should certainly include updating the sound driver. Driver updates are sometimes released officially for better functionality or new features. So, Updating sound driver is a good way to fix sound problems. The following steps will show you how to do the updating.

Step 1
Insert the driver installation CD into the computer's CD/DVD driver; a driver installation wizard will load. If you do not have the driver installation CD, you can download the sound driver at the manufacturer's site. Once the file has finished downloading, double-click the file to launch the driver installation wizard.

Step 2
Read through and accept the license agreement presented to you. You cannot install the driver without accepting this license agreement.

Step 3
Click "Next" for both the installation name and location. Changing these settings can result in the computer being unable to detect the driver. Choose "Install," and the sound card drivers will install onto your computer.

1. Get the exact model number of your sound card. This is important as a slight change in the model number can mean a great difference in the driver requirement.

2. Go to the sound card manufacturer's website. The native driver is usually your best choice if one is available for your operating system. The sound card maker will usually know how to make the sound card work for the operating system rather than the other way around. Also, the drivers on the sound card website will frequently be available as a self-installing executable so all you have to do is run the installation program. If a native driver is not available for your operating system, search the operating system's website for a driver compatible with your sound card.

Update the sound card driver of your computer. It could be related to the sound card driver. If the driver becomes outdated, it won't work very well with your computer. You can find the update in the website of your computer's manufacturer or you can use RadarSYnc to scan and update the drivers automatically without you going to the website.

Sound card not responding. Trying to use skype. Device says everything is functioning properly.

Go into Device Manager, find your sound card drivers and attempt to update them. You can do this by right clicking on your sound drivers and selecting update.
If that fails to fix your problem, using your PC model number google ASUS Eee PC (model number) sound drivers. Download them once you find them.
Uninstall your drivers using the same process previously describe but select uninstall instead of update.
Once they are uninstalled, install the drivers you have downloaded.

Not d perfect sound..

go into your device manager and click on the sound devices re install the driver. go into control panel click on sounds icon choose the windows default theme . that should give you sounds if not try re installing the sound card. go to your control panel device manager uninstall sound card restart your computer and it should automatically reinstall the sound card with the proper device driver if not go to windows update to update . you should try windows update first as when you format it rolls back all your drivers to before update status.
