Question about Hampton Bay 52 In. White Redington III¿ Ceiling Fan w/ Remote Control & Light Kit
Our Fan has absolutely no signal going to it all of a sudden after years of service. I have checked the DIP switches both on the Transmitter and the Receiver in the Fan. They are set exactly the same, the Remote has a brand new 9V in it, and the Red LED is on every time the button is depressed - no light to the unit, no fan action, and the switch on the wall is ON. I have tried shutting the power down, removing the battery, checking the switch, transmitter & receiver, with no response at all.
Can someone help me with what the problewn might be? Could the switch on the wall all of a sudden go bad? The only thing different is that a carpet cleaner guy switched the switch without knowing the fan needs the remote.
How do you reset this unit outside of what I've already done per the Owner''s Manual?
The wireless remotes have a little disk battery in the transmitter. Like a watch batter, go to the hardware and get one the same number type.

I have a Reddington IV model where the fwd/rev switch on the body of the fan broke and the fan will not spin at all. Went to HomeDepot and they gave me a phone no. 1(800) 654-0688 they asked for the UPC and SKU numbers which I did not have. I email them a picture of the fan and determined the manufacturer of my fan. They told me I was to be contacted by the mfg., but I was not at my desk when they called. So far it all seems positive. I will post with the outcome :-)

I have the Redington II ceiling fan and the transmitter will not turn off the lights. I see many people are experiencing similar problems. Remote is fine because the fan works forward and reverse and speen can be set; however, the lights will not turn off.HELP!!

Ironically, i am having the same problem with TWO different Reddington's in my house.
One is brand new, just hung a few weeks ago, the other is about 3 years old.
The new one -- the lights are stuck in a constant dim, bright, off, dim bright off, and the fan wont turn at all.
The old one, the lights wont come on and the fan will only spin slow.
Both failed within a day or two of each other, and this is driving me nuts.
I thought it might be the remotes, so I took both remotes and pulled the batteries out of each, but that didnt do anything.
If anyone else is having this problem, please post.

sounds like the radio signal amp is blown..that is a full replacement deal..that would explain this, and the power
#glitch could certainly cause this problem..

No fan disassembly, just the houseing mounted to the ceiling. the transmitter is in there. U can try and match it to a new remote or look for some number on the transmitter. However u can usually buy a new remote and transmitter for 30 bucks and just swap out the transmitter. They come labeled and r pretty easy to install.

the reciever is under the cover for your fan to the ceiling. Try pulling the switches on you fan then using the remote after each try. then check your wall switches,,, it could be wired to one.
