Error message being used by someone else

The printer gives an error message that it can't print because the printer port is being used by someone else...but it isn't. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Ricoh AP2600 printer gives an error message of SC322

1st Laser synchronization error signal error. The 1st Laser that turns on inside of the printer can't synchronize properly to print out documents which is why this message comes up and nothing is printing. Probably is going to need to be replaced but a qualified service tech is going to need to look at it further.

Normal 0 Could have a corrupt driver.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and when the CD software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud
