Re: x box

Hey dc13240,

It also snaps in. Once you plug it into the back usb port, it fits snuggly over that gap.

Here's a pic for reference.

Hope the info helps.

Older XBox 360 with wireless antenna - can't connect to network - why not?

What color does your wireless adapter (xbox) turn when you power on your xbox? Green, Red, or Grey (No light)?

If it's grey(no light), try connecting the adapter into one of the USB ports in front of the console(the usb ports are behind that flap)

If it's red, it's a hardware problem and you should try and repair it.. or replace it (xbox antenna).

If it's green, then it's something to do with your network settings.

Good Luck

Touch buttons on x box 360 not working

If buttons of your controller is not working we need to check the ff: Wireless controller: 1. Check the wireless adapter if properly connected. 2. Reseat the wireless adapter. 3. Check if you are getting stable green lights in front of the xbox for connection notification. TIP: It will be better if your wireless adapter is the wireless-N adapter. 4. You can check other wireless device to connect to xbox to isolate adapter issues. 5. If adapter is failing, replacement is needed. Wired controller: 1. Controller needs to be checked. 2. Controller needs to be tried to a friends xbox. If working, port might be faulty. 3. If controller seems not to work with a different xbox.controller needs to be replaced. Thanks for choosing

How to setup xbox live

To set up the connection via a router unplug the router and the modem and turn off the 360. Connect an Ethernet cable to one of the out ports of the preexisting router then connect the cord to the back of your 360. Plug everything back in and turn and give the modem and router about 3 minutes to reboot.

Once you have given everything a few minutes to reboot you can turn the 360 back on. If you have already set up a gamer profile you will see the Xbox Live screen. If you have not set up an account you will be prompted to do so. All you need to do is follow the on screen instructions. It is a pretty cut and dry process and should not take more than 10 minutes of your time.
If you want to go wireless or you must go wireless you will need to get the Xbox360 wireless network adapter. The adapters are available at most stores that sell 360 games or you can order it online. Once you have the adapter unplug any Ethernet cable you might have plugged into the 360 then clip the Network adapter to the back of the 360. It is really easy to see where it belongs, but just in case, the adapter will sit right alongside the USB port which is right above the Ethernet port. Once you have clipped it in plug the USB cable that is attached to the adapter into the port on the Xbox 360. Flip up the antenna that is laying flat against the adapter and you are set, well almost set.

Turn on the 360 and head into the System tray. You will see Network options, go ahead into that screen and follow it through to the "Edit Settings" subcategory. The Network name should appear on a list of available networks. Select your network and enter the password, if there is a password. Exit out and you should be ready to play.

Hi my xbox 360 wont connect to my orange live box can you help

Wired? Wireless?
Does it get an IP?
Does it get DNS?

If it is not connecting wireless, try using a simpler encryption such as WPA(not wpa2, wpa2 has caused some people issues with the 360 adapter)

Also make sure you are using the wireless adapter microsoft made or one that connects to your Ethernet port.

Msg on xbox says ''not connected''

sure, the usb port must be the back port, when you plug it in the light on the wireless adapter should be red. Once you turn the xbox on, the wireless should turn green. Go to test xbox live->test xbox live->edit settings-> the wireless settings should be at the bottom (the 3rd one down) click on it, (here if you have a password for your network insert the password. -> (press b to back out once) and test xbox live again. It should work if it doesn't please let me know, i'm doing the settings off the top of my head.
Hope it works.
