Question about Terapin TX-0002 CD-R Burner
When choosing a CD-R to record Audio only I find unless the CR-R specifically says Music on the Lable the TX-0002 displays Non audio CD. What is the difference in CD-R and CD-R for music?
There are TWO differences between STD CD-R and those labelled MUSIC/AUDIO by the manufacturers. One is financial, the other is technical.
Firstly, if a CD is labelled MUSIC/AUDIO and sold within the USA, the manufacturer pays a royalty to RIAA as a way to compensate its members.
From a technical standpoint, the CD has a 'flag' on it that describes it as MUSIC/AUDIO and it is optomized for recording at 1X speed.
