Question about Acer Aspire 5100 Notebook

1 Answer

Firewire I have an Acer Aspire 5102WLMi which does not have a firewire installed. I would like to purchase a PCMCIA IEEE Firewire laptop cardbus PC card to use with my camcorder but am not sure where to plug this in, as there does not appear to be a port for it. There is a slot about 2 inches wide on the left hand side of the computer, but am not sure if the cardbus would fit there. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there, I am fairly sure that PCMCIA card will fit in it.

Have a look at this picture.

The slot you looking for is on the top right of the picture, there is a lil button u press in, it will pop out, push it again and it will eject a sort of blank card, this is make sure nothing accidentally gets into the laptop when a card is not in use.

Hope it helps

Got old toshiba laptop to use as portable graphic runs windows98

Your old Toshiba laptop most likely does not have a firefly port.
The only way to use your firefly device on the Toshibe is to purchase a firefly PCMCIA adapter card and plug it into the Toshiba's PCMCIA slot and install the card driver.
