Radio unlock code

urn your ignition off to begin retrieving your radio code. Press and hold the "1" and "6" preset buttons on your radio. Turn your ignition on. Write down the code displayed on your radio. The display will flash with two numbers: one beginning with a "U" and one beginning with a "L." Write down both numbers (beginning with the "U" number), and then disregard the "U" and the "L." This number (eight digits) is your radio serial code. You'll need it to retrieve your radio anti-theft code. Contact Honda to retrieve your radio anti-theft code. You'll need your 17-digit VIN...Vehicle Identification Number, found beneath the driver's side of the windshield and your radio serial code. Honda's customer service number is (800) 999-1009. Provide the representative with the information to acquire your radio anti-theft code. You can also retrieve your radio anti-theft code online at https://radio-navicode.Honda.com/ then turn your ignition to "Acc" or "On" to power on your radio. Enter your radio anti-theft code using the preset buttons at the bottom of your radio. For example, if your anti-theft code is "55512," you would press the "5" button three times, then the "1" button, then the "2" button. This will unlock and reset your Honda radio.

you can try the above for your 2000..if you get two 4 numbers have someone write them down. then go to the web site above. you'll need the VIN too.
Unfortunately most of the time, owners of 2000 and older Honda vehicles need to physically remove the radio from the dashboard by using some automotive pry bar tools and locate the serial number sticker on the back of the unit.).

It may have a first cd anti theft feature. which you would need to put the first cd you origanlly played with this radio. btw i personaly am against this anti theft it is just a bad idea all the way around

When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect itagain, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your carradio.
The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. Ifyou do not have this code you need to go to your GMC servicecentre and get them to enter this code for you.

You have activated the anti-theft mode.Go to radio-code.com to get code to unlock radio.

You will need a unlock code to get your radio working again. Radio security codes are usually written in your car manual or given to you when you purchase the vehicle. If you do not have the radio security code, you would have to obtain it from the local Kia dealer.

This is part of your vehicle's anti theft system. You need to enter a 4 digit code to unlock your radio. Often, the dealer will write this code on a card, and put it in the owner's manual. If not, you need to go to the dealer, and they can look up your code, using the VIN number of your car. There isn't any other way to get this info.

you will need to contact the dealership ..this is an anti-theft -deterrent in the event your radio is stolen ...and applies to all newer model vehicles ...although its possible someone such as the salesman or previous owner if applicable wrote it down on a separate piece of paper or within the service Manuel ..

This is the anti-theft device on your factory radio. When the battery died, the radio thought it had been removed from your car and went into anti-theft mode. When you turned the car back on, the radio should have read "CODE" on the display, at which point you need to enter the factory anti-theft code. After 3 failed attempts at entering the code, it will simply read "OFF" and the radio is locked.

At this point:
- find your factory anti-theft code - it should be in your owner's manual, or you can contact a dealer to retrieve it
- turn the key to the ACC position (radio and accessories on, but engine is off)
- turn on the radio so the display reads "OFF"
- let the car sit for 1 hour
- radio will turn off automatically and reset
- turn the radio on again, and it should read "CODE"
- enter the factory anti-theft code

Make sure you have the code before starting the procedure. To enter the code, use the radio preset buttons. For example, if your code is "4321", hit Preset #1 button four times, Preset #2 three times, Preset #3 two times, and Preset #4 one time. Then hit the "Tape" or "CD" button. Radio should now be unlocked.

Factory radio codes are an anti-theft deterrent, they are unique to each radio and car serial number, in order to get the code the dealer will have to access the manufacturers data base, you will need to pull the radio and record the radio model number and the serial number of the chassis of the radio and take it to the dealer, they will not in most cases give the info out over the phone, this would defeat the whole purpose of the code.

Contact the dealer but ask for "parts department" and they will give you a step by step on how to unlock it and get the scramble code.
