How much to fix ipod touch screen and where

Good morning, afternoon, evening or night; whatever time of day you receive this. You want to know how much to fix the touch screen and where to fix it? I want this solution to benefit you as much as possible. Having to pay for someone to fix your iPod touch screen should be your last result. I'm tell you some options you can try that may save you a few dollars and having someone to fix the iPod touch screen. I don't if this is the problem, but the touch screen may be locked. Automatically, the iPod touch locks when there has been no activity for a certain amount of time. To unlock the touch screen, press and hold the Home button or the On/Off/Sleep/Wake button which is located at the top of your device, and then drag the slider. If you want to set the amount of time before Auto-Lock activates, press Settings, General, Auto-Lock; then set your preferred time. If that doesn't fix the problem, you can try a system reset. To do this, press and hold the Home and On/Off/Sleep/Wake buttons together for approximately 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on your screen. If this doesn't work, you can take your iPod Touch to your local Apple Retail store and have an Apple technician work on it for you. There will be a fee for diagnostic services. You can also contact Apple Technical Support or Online Service Assistant. For more contact information, go to this website ( I hope the problem is just a screen lock up and if you have to get a repair or replacement, it won't burn a hole in your pocket. Thank you for choosing FixYa as your one-stop solution spot for your problems and requests. Have a good morning, afternoon, evening or night; whatever time of day you are viewing this solution post.

Try restoring's how...
  1. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone or iPod touch, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
  2. Power off the device (Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the the iPhone or iPod touch to turn off.
  3. Press and hold the Home button while reconnecting the USB cable to iPhone. When you reconnect the USB to iPhone, the device should then power on.

Note: If you see the message "Charging... Please Wait" , let the device charge for at least 10 minutes to ensure the battery has some charge and then start with step 2 again.
  4. Continue holding the Home button while iPhone starts up. While starting up, you will see the Apple logo.
  5. When you see "Connect to iTunes" on the screen, you can release the Home button andiTuneswill display the recovery mode message:

If you don't see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, then disconnect the USB cable from iPhone and repeat steps 3-6.

Take it to the Apple store first. Only if you're not under warranty you can try a firmware restore. If that doesn't help it's a hardware issue with your logic board. The logic board can be replaced by a tech savy user and the part is available on common auction websites. There areipod nano 4th gen Repair guides that show you how to do the replacement step by step.

Charged it last night and now it will not turn on

Try a reset: Press and hold the wake/sleep button and the home button simultaneously for ten seconds and the apple logo should appear on the screen. Release the buttons and it should work like normal. Hope this helps.

Make sure the hold/lock switch is not engaged.

These are the most common methods for recovering Sandisk's Sansa Mp3 Players. I have been almost universally successful in recovering Sansa players using one or a combination of these methods. These methods do not work if you are having synchronization or music format issues - they are for recovering a player that will not power up, freezes, flashes, is not recognized by the computer, and a host of other issues.

Reset the Sansa Player first. On most models, restart is done by holding the power button in for 15 seconds or longer. Check your specific manual to be sure. The manuals are available from the Sansa website if they have been misplaced.
Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from the Sansa website.
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out:
If these fail, then:
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
If you get the problem where MTP Device keeps popping up continuously, uninstall the “MTP Device” by going to Start à Control Panel àSystem à Hardware à Device Manager (you computer may vary slightly, depending on Windows Version).
You may have to restart your computer after each of these methods to get them to work properly. Disconnect your Sansa player BEFORE shutting down your computer.

Go Gear Not Responding

Open up the device manager program.

Push the reset button on the device with a pin.

Press and hold the Vol + button whilst plugging into the PC.

Device Manager should go into repair mode.

Follow the on-screen prompts.

When finished, disconnect usb and reconnect quickly. Player should say loading, and then go into transfer mode.

Disconnect and reconnect player again. Screen should say

Repair is now complete.

* If player flashes "Initializing" & "GoGear" alternately, then resatart the process again. If it still doesn't work then there's not much else you can do.
