My acer aspire one wont locate any wireless

The easiest way to figure this out besides making sure the switch or button turned on for the wireless....go to device manager and scroll down to the network adapters. Click on the plus sign and look at what adapters are listed. There is probably a wireless and an ethernet adapter. Attach an ethernet cable to the laptop and right click on the wireless adapter and choose to uninstall it. Make sure the box is UNCHECKED that asks to delete the drivers. We want to keep the drivers. Now shut the computer off, take out the battery, push the power button for 10 sec. Keep the power cord out too. Now plug everything back in and reboot. When windows boots it will recognize the hardware and install the drivers for it most importantly...configure it fresh. If it asks to visit Windows update to check on drivers, allow it and let it find the best drivers for the hardware. You should have no problems after it is done.

click the windows start button
select run
type services.msc and press return
find the eventlog service and set it to automatic if not already.
re-boot.
All should be well
