I used to be a service manager for Electrolux.
For a blocked hose, turn the hose around and **** the clog out the way it came it. If you have the exhaust connectoin, plug the hose in there and put the other end at the intake, and blow it out.
For the "Bag Full" problem, in the bag area, look for a very small metal circle, about 1/8" diameter, with a hole in it about this ○ big.. This is the vacuum port. Use an old DRY toothbrush to clean it out. If this doeas.t take care of it, the diaphragm (Vacuum motor) is bad.
This vac is prone to a control valve failure with the exact symptoms you describe. There is a dial valve on top of the machine designed to regulate how full the bag will get. The valve which sits underneath the dial on the vac likely has a broken plunger and will need to be replaced. Take it to an AERUS Electrolux dealer / shop for an experienced tech to work on.

our hose is not blocked. We have verified this by blowing it out with the reverse blower under the filter on the back of the machine. Yet curiously when we leave the hose off, the vacuum cleaner operates perfectly (except we can't use it). The moment we attach the hose, it stops working! Bizarre.
