I have a Packard Bell EasyNote MX37-S-200 Laptop, it as suddenly stopped booting up, and whilst using the recovery disc it is saying no hard drive, i have been trying to find a manual showing where the hard drive is situated so I can check the leads if anything as come loose, can you help. problem event name: Startup Repair V2 problem signature: External Media problem signature: 6.06001.18000.00.0.0
The hard drive may have died. There is usually a removable cover (the largest) at the bottom of the laptop to reach the hard drive. The hard drive can be replaced but the factory recovery disc may not work with the new drive and if so you may need to buy a new OS disc. If there are no removable covers at the bottom you may have to dis-assemble the laptop to get to the drive.

I made a post concerning a laptop that won't start and was told about viruses and worms causing interfernce, the thing is, the computer has never been online. The reason I asked about bypassing the start button was to see if the switch was bad. There is now way I can change things if I can't get power to it.
