Canon Image Class D860 copier purchased 2005 - KAB-15948

For the last two weeks we are getting more frequent dog-eared copies; the upper right corner is folded. For the last week these folded copies are getting jammed just as they are going through the rollers on their 'way-out.'

We have been able to pull-out the last five that were jammed, however this copy won't budge.

Please help!!!!!!

This copier does not have separation claws on the fuser.
your problem if caused by the fuser is probably a torn fixing film in the fuser and will need replaced.
like the above post states stop a copy before the fuser to determine if your fault is happening before or after the fuser.
check for torn piece of paper at the timing roll section under the drum/ toner cartridge.lift plate at green tab to check for objects blocking paper path.

I would bet your fuser is the problem we see a lot of problems in this area

Dog ears are usuallycaused by paper hitting something before the fuser or at the fuser. the claws or fingers that ride on the hot rollers are getting worn or are out of place.

to determine the exact location, stop the copy at different locations by
1- make a copy
2- stop the copy by turning off or openning a door

look at the paper does it have the dog ear at that location? no stop it a little further until it does.

My guess is going to be the claws or fingers on the fuser roller.

Good luck

Paper jammed at exit rollers of Canon D860. Paper

If you remove the plastic covers on that side of the printer, you will see a small screw holding a bar against the rollers. Set the printer on end so you can remove this screw with out dropping it into the printer, and then the rollers will be loose enough that you can get the paper out.

Copier make squeky sound while making copies...

The rollers are wearing out; you will have to call Canon to send a tech, or, if you are a qualified Canon Tech or have one in your office, have them look at it and order the necessary parts.

Paper Jam but no papaer found Canon Image Class D860

Have you checked that the paper path is clean and free of paper fragments which sometimes get jammed in the sensors? Try blowing them with a compressed air bottle.

Canon Image Class D320 does not copy entire page. New toner has been installed.

Has anyone changed the paper size in the paper tray to another size by accident? Have you tried the manual feed tray? If that copies the whole image then the problem is with the paper size input of the paper tray.

A copy with a lighter image of the copy on the page

Do printed pages come out better than copies?
If they are the same, you may try another toner cartridge (especially if it is a remanufactured or compatible toner), otherwise, you need your optics cleaned (mirrors and lens under the contact glass)
