Outside picture very dark even with flash / inside better

Hi, When taking outside pictures in normal daylight I have some of them ok and then the rest very dark taking the same picture? Have it on auto setting so would expect to be able to take normal outside daylight pics without having to adjust. Any thoughts??

As an addition to above posts, you can check the "drive mode", if it is adjusted as "auto bracket mode" accidentally.
You can reach there from "Fn" button than up arrow, choose mode as you desire.

If you have a pentax K100D (as I have) this is really unusual. Check that you have not overridden the exposure setting from teh menu options.

Camera exilim ex-s600 will not take pictures outside, pictures turning out white, yet will take pictures inside this a worthwhile repair

This seems to be a software problem with your camera. Your camera should, if on AUTO mode, automatically expose your photo accurately. Try half pressing the shutter button (used to take pictures) while outside to adjust focus and exposure, then press the button fully to take picture. If your camera cannot adjust to take a properly exposed picture (not bright white), then it is possible that the shutter speed is stuck on a too high speed, outside daytime shutter speed should be fast (1/1000 sec). Or if your shutter speed adjust accurately, it could be the aperture if the aperture is not small enough for daylight shooting. This is likely a software problem. Try adjusting your settings manually and see if the picture turns out!

The flash is not working anymore. how can i replace it?

Hi, Check your setting for when you take photo's inside or outside. In dark areas the flash should come on. Check and /or replace batteries. Good luck.
Take a picture in a dark room and see if flash comes on.

When taking pictures outside or from inside through a window, the picture comes out white with faint red outlines of some images. Inside the house and darker areas it takes pretty good pic's. What can be...

First the camera has a flash to allow for darker areas to be illuminated to capture pictures. The type of camera may bot allow to capture outdoor pictures with the camera flash on. Power off the flash when outdoors to capture daylight pictures.

Pictures are over exposed when outside

You may have the settings wrong. Check in the MENU to see if you have it set to "inside" pics rather than outside.
Also the ISO has a lot to do with the exposure. If the iso is set too low outside sunlight pics will be white or overexposed. Try setting ISO on wheel for various options select program mode button and MENU select ISO 120 or 250. These are are pretty general settings. the flash will only engage inside or outside if the light is low ( like evening) I suspect your ISO setting is at a setting that is incompatible with bright sunlight
Also select White Balance and move it to DAYLIGHT

take a few shots inside and out to see if there is an improvement.

Pictures are pixilated and outside pictures look like negatives.

First try to reset the camera: take out the battery and press the reset switch for about 3 seconds. Reinsert the battery and take a picture. If it works in the dark conditions (with flash) and doesn't in the daylight then I would suspect the problem with CCD sensor.

Taking a picture inside is dark. It need light. That why you have to take a picture daylight outside. Because it for outdoor. About indoor, it too dark.

Blurry white image when pics are taken during broad daylight

Try first to reset your camera. Press the menu button, go over to setup, go down to reset, press the right arrow, highlight reset and press set. Don't worry it won't erase any of the pictures on your memory card. If that doesn't work you can try and manually set the white balance on your camera and I would recommend sending it into repairs if that doesn't work since it's taking nighttime pictures fine. :)
