First I will need to know the type of ISP service you have, T1 - DSL - ADSL - CABLE - etc. And the connection type, STATIC IP - DYNAMIC IP - PPPOE - etc. BPCS

I have DSL service(PPPoE) requires username and password to connect to the internet. I get Dynamic IP's for my connection.

My ISP is ATT(SBC). The default VPI/VCI values they do assume is 0/35 respectively. I am unable to configure the DLink (DSL-2640B) for the WAN.

Please help if possible. Thnx.

My company provided me wired internet using Paradyne 6381 wired modem. it works fine. I have D Link 2640 T wirelss modem + router available with me. Please advise me how do I connect available D link 2640...

Since your D-Link 2640 is a modem + router it may not work the way you intend.

You need just a wireless router without modem.

Run a small Ethernet patch cable from your Paradyne modem into the WAN port on your router, you can plug your existing Ethernet cable into one of the other LAN ports on the router, then access the router setup using the computer connected to the Ethernet cable using a browser and putting the router's IP address into the address line of your browser. It will most likely be or

Once you have configured the Wi-Fi router you will have your wireless network. Full instructions should come with the router.

Routers are available for as little as $29.95 but expect to pay closer to $79.95 for satisfactory speed and capability.

D-Link DSL-2640-T. After power outage, I have a good wireless connection BUT no internet access. LAN line does not work either. Please suggest possible solutions.

chack your DSL settings may your not conacted with your sevice provider

chack your locale settings in modem try folowing setups

1. If you have a modem, connect the modem to the router(make sure modem should be connected to the port on which LAN, Internet, WAN is mentioned. It would be a separate one port on the router) and router to the computer.
2. Insert the disk that came with the router, inside the computer.
3. Follow the on screen instructions.
4.No, connect to the wireless

My problem with my toshiba is it cant detect the modem of pldt dsl our local internet provider... btw im here in phil... could anybody help me with my prob?

Brother too less information for not able to detect the mode.
Is the modem working perfect, try it in other's laptop.
Is the Lan Wire connected correctly or is the Lan wire broken, need to check that out too.
Once you deal with these things and everything is working properly then call the local internet provider and ask him to trouble-shoot with the modem settings according to Internet Provider's configuration.
And also check the power link, lan link, data link on the modem. It should constantly blink.
Sorry mate i am only at this much help. But i am sure this would resolve your problem.

No internet connection

This should be connected as so. From wall outlet to DSL modem, from DSL modem to D-Link router, From D-Link router to Laptop via wireless or wired connection. You will still need the DSL modem installed but the wire coming from the DSL modem will go to uplink port on the router instead of into the laptop.

How do i sync windows vista with my router?

-- who is your internet service provider
-- what is the operating system of your computer?
-- is this working fine before or is this a brand new router

you may try this and see if this help solve your problem. make sure your computer is directly connected to the router

Step 1: Shutdown the computer.
Step 2: reset the router while power on then Unplug the router’s power cable.
Step 3: Unplug the Broadband modem’s power cable and wait for 30 seconds.
Step 4: Plug in the Broadband modem’s power cable and wait for its lights to appear stable.
Step 5: Plug in the router's power cable once the modem’s lights appear stable.
Step 6: Power on the computer on and configure the router settings
Step 7: test the Internet connection.

if this still didnot work, upgrade the firmware of your router

configuring the router settings will depends who is your provider. if your isp is dsl you need to configure your ISP username and password on the router. if your router is a cable no need to change any settings on the router. it should automatically work

if you are still having trouble configuring your device, try to call supportrix and use supportcall as your promo code for 1 free technical support.
