Question about Wacom Graphire 4 "Silver" 4x5 (WMM132369)

3 Answers

Tablet Driver I have a new Dell XPS 420 With Windows Vista. I bought a Wacom Graphire 4 and downloaded the Vista driver from Wacom. The Graphire pen and mouse work perfectly. However, every time I start my computer I get the annoying message: (Tablet Driver) The tablet driver is not running. Is there anything I can do to remove this message permanently? I have old Wacom Graphire tablet and pen, recently upgraded software to 6.05-7 and started getting "Tablet Driver not Running" message. I checked as suggested services.msc but the tablet driver is set to automatic. Something else is causing this, anyone have a fix?

Have the same problem (with Vista).

Tried the "services.msc" fix, but services seem to be enabled.

Same problem after i upgraded the software to the latest version 6.05-7, using wacom cintiq 21". "the tablet driver is not running" irritating.

Same thing happening. Tiny little box "The Tablet Driver is not running". Tablet works fine, but it just annoys me that it pops up every time Windows starts. Damn dirty Vista. :(

I have started getting this problem today, but was not getting it previously - I am using XP Pro. Tablet service is running. I thought it might be AdMuncher.so I checked the box in AdMuncher advanced tab to prevent interference with mouse usage to see if this works for me

The service is actually running. To get rid of those messages completely and use all features of your tablet, uninstall driver 6.05-7 and install 5.05-7 instead.

You may also use services.msc to restart any services containing the word tablet.

Try this:

Start>Run
Type: services.msc
Scroll down to TabletService
Right click>Properties>Log On tab
Is service disabled? If so, enable it and I think that will solve your problem.

I had the same problem you described after I disabled this service.

I've recently had this issue with the latest driver. I go to services.msc and it shows the item as started, but I need to REstart it in order to things to work. Is there a root cause that could effect the settings there? I've noticed the issues after reinstalling Canon EOS utility software.

I am trying to get my CTL-460 Wacom Bamboo Pen Tablet to work on my new computer, a Toshiba Satellite, which uses Windows 8. I have attempted to download the drivers multiple times, including from the

When loading the latest driver for it from Wacoms site, be sure to change the compatibility on the EXE file to "Windows 7". If that doesn't work, you will need to look at purchasing a newer model. The CTL-460 Wacom Bamboo Pen Tablet was only compatible with XP and Windows 7. Newer Microsoft operating systems are not supported on that product from Wacom.

Hi, I need a driver for Wacom Tablet (Blueberry) ET-0405-U for windows Vista. Can you please tell me where I can find it?

Hello
Try to download from:
http://www.wacom.com/downloads/driver-detail.php?id=178

You didn't specify the Vista version (32 or 64 bit), but 99% the 32 bit driver version will be OK. The producer suggests to uninstall the previous version of driver if one is already installed. (to uninstall, go to Control Panel, Programs and features and double-click the item that looks like "Wacom..." or "Graphire...")

Good luck

Wacom Graphire tablet connects to PC. Only "writes" in writing pad. Does not "WRITE ANYWHERE". Using Windows XP and MS Office 2003.

There are four versions of Wacom Graphire model listed on Wacom site.

Click HERE to link to download page.

see PULL DOWN BOXES (TOP RIGHT) on link.

NEW drivers will come out and you should visit this link to get the latest driver for your Graphire.

Here's one more LINK

I will close all applications including MS Office 2003.

Some malware program program (Example: Norton 360) ask user for permission before making any setting.

Please READ the pop ups /warning(s) and see is this pertains to COMPLETE Wacom Graphire driver / software installation.

Wacom Graphire Bluetooth stopped working

I didn't see anything specific for a Graphire A5 or a Graphire Bluetooth.

I did find this for a Graphire wireless:

http://www.wacom.com/productsupport/drivers.cfm?os=XP&product=CTEBT&CFID=5186275&CFTOKEN=15531183

There were some drivers on this page that were dated April of 2008. They could have been updated since your purchase

Driver donĀ“t work (MacOSX Leopard

Here are the steps that you need to take to fix your issue:

1. Uninstall the current Wacom driver via the Macintosh HD on your desktop--->go into the Applications folder and then the Pen Tablet folder and click on "remove tablet". Once you have done the removal you will want to run a "repair disk permissions on your Macintosh HD.

2. The repair disk permissions can be done via the utilities folder on your Mac HD. Go to "disk utility" and then run it. In that program select the Mac HD and choose "repair disk permissions".

3. After that is completed you will get a message that says permissions repair complete!
At this time you will want to reboot your computer.

4. After rebooting you will want to go and install the latest driver from Wacom's website, www.wacom.com The most current driver is 5.08-2 for the Graphire 3 tablet.

That should do it!

Wacom Tablet

pderozza,

I had a similar problem. My wacom tablet only worked in photoshop. Very annoying. I was able to fix this by doing the following:

  1. Open Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Services
  2. Right click on TabletPC Input Services and pick properties.
  3. In the General tab make sure startup type is Automatic.
  4. Make sure the services is started.
  5. In the Log On tab make sure the radio button is on Local System, and check Allow service to interact with desktop.
I think I broke it in the first place because I was annoyed with the Tablet PC services running in the background, and tried to stop them. I've just learned to live with it.
